We were lucky to catch up with Kristin M. recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kristin, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
There isn’t one single formula for success, as I painfully had to learn. Every success story is different, but they all have something in common sooner or later: belief in success and standing out from the crowd.
When I first heard about digital marketing, I thought it was a scam, a way to get rich quickly. In some ways, that’s true, because many big creators in this industry promise overnight success with only 2-3 hours of work a day.
Sure, I fell for it at some point too. I was, and still am, in a financially unstable situation. Currently, I am on parental leave with my 9-month-old son.
After purchasing the “Digital Wealth Academy” course, I quickly realized that it was worth the price. You get a lot of knowledge for a relatively low amount. Whether everyone sees it that way, I don’t know, but many who disagree probably didn’t really delve into the course and bought it just to sell it.
I’m not excluding myself here. I started the same way. I bought the course to sell it, and according to the big accounts, that works super quickly.
Unfortunately, as I hinted earlier, I was misled in that regard. For a big account with prior knowledge in marketing or sales, it’s easier to see quick success. In the chat groups I’m in, you often see messages that someone made their first sale after just 30 minutes in the business. But when you look closer, you see that this sale was made to friends, family, or colleagues.
Unfortunately, many accounts are not transparent with their community in this regard, which is why I decided not to do that to my community. Open, transparent communication is important.
Will I achieve quick and great success with this? Probably not. Will I gain trust and loyal followers? Definitely.
My core values are my own, and that’s what makes me unique. Many who start this business haven’t understood that yet and are blinded by quick success.
I’ve learned that there is no overnight success. You have to work hard and believe it will work. If you feel stuck, you should invest in knowledge and a mentor you trust. That’s what I did, and that’s what I keep telling my clients.
Mindset makes a big difference, and if you only compare yourself to others and wonder why something isn’t working, you project that outward.
In conclusion, I just want to say that you should believe in yourself. You are unique and wonderful as you are. Don’t try to be someone else; instead, try to find out who you are. Because that’s how you will succeed. No one can take away your story, your feelings, your thoughts, or your life.

Kristin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started my journey three months ago, spending hours creating content and talking to my clients. But since then, no one of my family or friends knows what I am doing. Let me introduce myself to you.
I am a 28-year-old first-time mom. In December 2023, I was at home with my 5-month-old baby and scrolled through Instagram. I was already struggling to pay my bills, and then I saw an 18-year-old girl on Instagram making thousands of dollars daily just by posting 5-second-long reels. I felt jealous and envious. I thought it was not fair because I worked as a nurse before my pregnancy and just got a few dollars, and now I am getting nothing because you are at home with my son.
That’s how I felt when I saw it for the first time. I was jealous and thought it was just a scam. Also, I knew I could never do this. I didn’t have an aesthetic home or the time to film all of the videos I needed to do what this girl did.
I kept scrolling, and I saw another account. This woman never showed her face, and she also earned thousands of dollars per day. Again, I thought it was a scam.
Weeks later, I followed her and watched her journey. She gave me the hope to build my own business, to work from home, to watch my baby boy grow up, and to have a vacation by the end of the year with my husband and my son.
I made the choice to give digital marketing a chance. I told myself I would do this until the end of my parental leave and then I decided to continue or end it.
I already reached more goals than I could ever imagine. When I think back to my past self, I also see a difference in my mindset. I bloomed and believed in myself again.
I found my passion in helping other moms start their own businesses and find their own voice. I love to support my clients by telling them all my secrets for growing and speaking to their target audience and how they can stand out from the crowd.
This business is hard, but the knowledge you gain is priceless. If you use it the right way, stay motivated, and never give up, you can build a strong and long-lasting business and live the life you always dreamed of.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I started, I did the same things as everyone else. I took some “inspiration” from the big accounts and tried to sell a course I knew nothing about. That’s what I did wrong, and that’s why I decided to create a new account after just two weeks.
Two weeks in the business showed me one thing. Everyone looks the same, and the people who look different see success. I asked myself what I could change. I always preferred to stay in my comfort zone and never take a risk, but my advice for you is to TAKE this risk. Otherwise, you will see no success.
When I created my new account, I did some research. What color attracts people? Who is my target audience, and what are they struggling with? How can I stand out from the crowd?
The color blue gives people the feeling of safety and trust, and I wanted to promote that. I picked this color for my reel covers, profile pictures, and story backgrounds. People should recognize my account and my brand by just seeing it.
This advice is always the first I give my clients: Think about who you are and what your core values are, and use them in everything you do. Think about your favorite color and try to use it in your profile to look different. Just be yourself, and don’t try to be someone else’s clone.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
My sources for new clients are Instagram and the Chatgroups of the courses I brought.
Many people buy the course from someone, and the second they finish the deal, the person who sold it disappears. So many people feel left behind and know nothing about this business.
That’s why I am offering my Mentorship with the course. They will have a mentor by their side who will help them with every step of starting their own business. I want to protect people from making the same mistakes I did.
Even when someone does not purchase the Mentorship, I am still there to give some tips and help them because that’s something I wished I had when I started.
