Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kristin Jackson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Kristin, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always had a genuine passion for driving. There’s something deeply rewarding about helping people get where they need to go safely and on time. I don’t take that responsibility lightly — especially when children are involved. Being behind the wheel isn’t just about transportation for me — it’s about trust, care, and community.
Before I launched She Drives Rideshare, I drove for Uber and Lyft. I was drawn to the flexibility and the opportunity to connect with people. But as a woman in this industry, I quickly saw how unsafe and uncomfortable it could be. I faced situations that left me uneasy — late-night rides that didn’t feel right, inappropriate comments from passengers, and a constant feeling of needing to be on high alert. And unfortunately, I wasn’t alone.
Over time, I began having honest conversations with my passengers — especially women — who shared similar stories. Many had experienced disrespect, discomfort, or worse while riding with male drivers. I heard from moms who were nervous about letting their daughters ride alone, and from women who simply didn’t feel safe using mainstream rideshare platforms. Again and again, I kept hearing the same thing: “I wish there was a better option.”
That’s when I realized this wasn’t just a personal issue — it was a widespread problem that no one was truly solving. I saw a real gap in the market for a service that prioritized safety, consistency, and peace of mind, especially for women and children.
So I decided to do something about it.
That’s how She Drives Rideshare was born — a women-owned and operated rideshare service specifically designed for women and children, driven by women who care. From day one, my goal has been to build a transportation experience rooted in trust. Every driver is vetted, insured, and understands the importance of what we do — not just getting people from place to place, but making sure they feel safe, seen, and supported every mile of the way.
What makes me confident this business would work? I lived the challenges. I heard the stories. And I knew in my heart that we could create something better — something intentional and meaningful. I wasn’t looking to compete with the big-name platforms. I was building something with a bigger purpose.
She Drives Rideshare is more than a company — it’s a movement. It’s a reflection of my passion for driving, my love for community, and my belief that everyone deserves to feel safe in transit.
And we’re just getting started.

Kristin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, I’m Kristin Jackson, the Founder and CEO of She Drives Rideshare — a women-owned and operated rideshare company based in Central Ohio, created specifically to provide safe, reliable transportation for women and children. Our mission is simple but powerful: to transform the rideshare experience into one that is safe, respectful, and community-driven.
Before I started this company, I was a rideshare driver myself — working with both Uber and Lyft. I’ve always loved driving and helping people get where they need to go. There’s something incredibly meaningful about knowing someone trusts you to get them or their loved ones to their destination safely. But during my time with those platforms, I began to see some deeply concerning patterns — especially as a woman.
I experienced firsthand how unsafe the rideshare industry can feel. There were situations where I didn’t feel protected or supported as a driver. And even more heartbreaking, I had passenger after passenger — especially women — tell me their own stories of feeling uncomfortable, harassed, or disrespected by male drivers. I heard from parents who were uneasy about letting their kids ride alone and from women who didn’t want to use rideshare services at night because they didn’t feel safe. That’s when I realized: there was a serious gap in the industry, and no one was filling it.
That’s how She Drives Rideshare was born — out of a need, a mission, and a commitment to do things differently.
We provide private transportation for women and children to and from school, work, extracurriculars, events, medical appointments, and more. Our services are built around trust, communication, and professionalism. Every driver is a woman who is licensed, insured, background-checked, and trained — not just to drive, but to show care and respect to every single rider. Our clients know who will be driving them or their children, what vehicle to expect, and have a direct line of communication to me and my team.
What sets us apart?
It’s not just that we’re women-owned — it’s that we operate with intentionality and heart. We don’t just offer rides. We provide peace of mind. Our clients don’t have to worry about last-minute cancellations or uncomfortable interactions. They know their safety is our top priority — not just a bullet point in a policy.
We also structure our services to make things easier for families. Most of our clients are busy moms and professionals who need transportation that is consistent, communicative, and flexible. We invoice on a weekly or monthly basis, and all rides are scheduled in advance — which means no surprises and no scrambling.
What I’m most proud of is the community we’re building. I love seeing parents feel at ease. I love watching young girls ride confidently knowing they’re safe. I love supporting women drivers who now feel empowered and respected in their work. That’s what this is really about — creating a space where women support women and where families feel taken care of.
For anyone just learning about She Drives Rideshare, here’s what I want you to know:
This is more than a business — it’s a movement for safer, smarter transportation. We’re here to serve, to protect, and to uplift. Whether you’re a mom, a professional woman, a caregiver, or someone looking for a better rideshare experience, we’re here for you.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
First and foremost, I believe in clear, consistent communication. I make it a priority to keep my team informed, whether it’s about scheduling, changes, challenges, or wins. When people feel included, they feel valued. And when they feel valued, they show up with more heart and commitment. I also make space for feedback — not just during problems, but proactively — because I want my team to know their voices matter.
Second, mutual respect is non-negotiable. Everyone on my team, from drivers to support staff, knows that they are an essential part of what we do. I treat them with the same level of care and professionalism that I ask them to show our riders. I never ask anything of them that I wouldn’t be willing to do myself — and I’ve been in their shoes, which helps me lead with empathy and understanding.
Third — and maybe most importantly — I always tie our work back to our greater purpose. At She Drives Rideshare, we’re not just clocking in for a job. We’re making a difference in the lives of women and families. We’re providing peace of mind. We’re creating a safer, more thoughtful transportation experience. And when people feel connected to something bigger than themselves, morale takes care of itself — because the mission fuels the motivation.
I also believe in celebrating wins — big or small. Whether it’s a shoutout, a thank-you text, or just checking in to let someone know they’re doing a great job — that recognition goes a long way.
At the end of the day, a strong team culture doesn’t happen by accident. It’s something you build on purpose, every day, with intention.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I stay connected with clients through clear and consistent communication — whether it’s a quick text, an email update, or a personal check-in. I make sure they always know who’s driving, what vehicle to expect, and that their concerns are heard and addressed. It’s about building trust from day one and keeping that trust strong with every ride.
Brand loyalty comes naturally when people feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. At She Drives Rideshare, we go beyond just providing transportation — we create peace of mind. That level of reliability and personal touch is what keeps our clients coming back and spreading the word.
