We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kristi Stoll. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kristi below.
Kristi, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
I have a double degree in management and finance. Out of college I worked for a Commercial Finance company. I had somewhat of a plan to keep working up the corporate ladder, but then, at 26, I found meditation and it changed my life. It was if I suddenly woke up to the TRUE possibilities within me. I also woke up to what was not working. Like many, I realized I felt very unfulfilled in my career and life.
By 28, I quit my job to pursue my dreams. I was happier and so much healthier. In fact, in 27 years, I can count on one hand how many times I have been sick with a cold or flu (I also look much younger than 55). I attribute this to my daily self-care habits.
I may have been a little ahead of the curve, but this story is not unique to me. Many professional American women find themselves in overwhelm with too many things on their plate and not enough time for self. As a result, their mental, emotional and physical health suffer.
Since then, I have had a vision of wanting to change the world. I know in parts, I have changed many lives with my work, but I have a bigger vision than that. I want to help millions.
For the last 14 years, I have worked as a life mentor, meditation facilitator and vibrational healer being certified in 8+ vibrational healing modalities. I have worked with hundreds of people and have witnessed the life changing benefits of this type of therapy. I’ve also experienced it in my own life.
I have had a very interesting journey, from traveling across the country to interview kids to write a book for teens/tweens to encourage them to follow their dreams (which got published), to becoming a small business owner on Maui where I provided healing, mentoring and meditation services. Passion is at the core of everything I do and I couldn’t be more passionate about helping people.
I know my life has been very unconventional and I am so grateful for it. I never would have had this magical journey had I not listened to my guidance that there was more. For me, a job just doesn’t give me the opportunity to continue to learn, grow and expand. I knew that at 28. I encourage all people to tune into what they are really here for in this life. We all have a path. If you are happy on your path, you have found the right fit for you. If you haven’t, keep searching within. The answers are there.
Kristi, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Operating as a life mentor, meditation facilitator and vibrational healer, I have worked with hundreds of people and have witnessed the life changing benefits of this type of therapy. I’ve also experienced it in my own life. Through my life, I have had a vision of wanting to change the world. I know in parts, I have changed many lives with my work, but I have a bigger vision than that. I want to help millions. Passion is at the core of everything I do and I couldn’t be more passionate about helping people.
My first idea was born In a meditation. When asking how I could expand on my healing, I was given the vision of a healing app. Although creating apps is not something I have done, it made me excited to think about. I knew this was giving me the opportunity to combine my love of creating with my gifts of insight and healing.
Our nation is in a mental and physical health crisis. Research shows that 60% of adult Americans report having at least ONE chronic illness. What is more alarming is that 1 in 4 adults suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder, mainly depression and anxiety.
How we are living our lives here in America needs to change.
I’m very excited to present a solution for that. Healing Vibes: A self care mobile app that uses scientifically proven healing therapies that help balance, harmonize and heal the cells of the body to improve overall health.
What we know in whole body medicine is that mental and emotional health are at the core of physical health. My app works with balancing all three. My vision for Healing Vibes is to help millions of people take their health into their own hands. To make it easy and affordable for Americans make self-care a priority, not the last thing they think of. As a result, it offers people the potential to live a healthier, happier and more fulfilled life.
Self-care therapies are not new to the market, they have been around for thousands of years. But masses of Americans waking up to their benefits is new. Through the pandemic, people by the millions started using self-care apps to help them cope. Americans are discovering the benefits of using meditation and other self-care techniques to help them balance the mind and body. This is the perfect time for Healing Vibes to take wellness to a new level. My target market is professional women ages 40-60. These are the women who are trying to do it all and rarely take care of themselves first. This is a new way of thinking. Self-care has to be a priority if you want a balanced, healthy, happy life.
Apps like Calm and Headspace have opened the door in a way never seen before to people waking up to the importance of balance, self-care and wellness. But there is a gap in what they offer. They mainly target new meditation users and people having problems with sleep.
To me, the bigger issue is overall wellness and healing. Yes, meditation can help with this, but my healing app takes that one step further. Healing Vibes isn’t a meditation app, although you can meditate with it. Instead of being focused soley on meditation or better sleep, my app uses sound and color therapy to help recalibrate one’s cells for better health.
But healing isn’t enough. How you live and think needs an upgrade. I have created 3 different lines of apps to help and have more in the plan.

If I can be a part of helping women get back to a healthy life filled with joy and accomplishing life dreams, that would be my greatest joy and accomplishment.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Throughout this life journey of being an entrepreneur, my life has seen many phases.
After I quit my job at 28, my plan was to create a business with a friend helping young people. Long story short, after a few months, she backed out. I had quit my job and moved across the country and didn’t have a lot of money left. I didn’t have a back up plan. I had to regroup. So, my mom invited me to move in with her. This was not something I had EVER planned to do.
For some, this could be seen as a set back, but that is not how I view life. To me, the universe is always guiding you in the direction of your true authentic self and life. Even though I I never wanted to move back to my home town, it was the greatest gift. I spent four years there. I call it the University of Me. I dove in, read, meditated and searched for who I was, what my true gifts were, what was important to me, and what I wanted to do next. Meanwhile, I was offered interesting side jobs to help me afford life.
Next came an opportunity to write a book for teens/tweens with another friend. This was actually quite similar to the original idea to help kids. It was exciting! We traveled around the country and interviewed kids who had fulfilled some sort of idea and wrote a book with how-to steps for how to find your passion and realize your dreams with the interviews as inspiration. We sent out 7 book proposals and got accepted by one! The book was published in 2005. It was amazing.
To market the book, we worked at farmer’s and craft markets up in LA County. This was fun. We sold crafts, we sold beverages, we sold our book.
After this journey was over, I met my 2nd spiritual teacher which totally changed my life again. I moved to Maui, trained with her, opened my own business and worked the last 14 years in the wellness field. I lived in Maui for almost 11 years.
All of that (and much more) lead me to where I am today.
I’m mentioning many of my redirections, because not many people have their whole life figured out. Learning to allow and embrace change is my most valuable advice for being “resilient.” Don’t be afraid to alter your life direction and don’t wait for for the universe to knock you upside the head with a frying pan to force you to rethink and reimagine your life. Every step in life gives us an opportunity to learn, grow and evolve. This life is a journey, not a destination. The important thing is to have the willingness to keep going after your dreams and passions – whatever they evolve into.
Have you ever had to pivot?
During the pandemic, my healing business came to a halt – not only because in-person sessions could not be done, but because I was finding myself more and more drained with this business.
Being exhausted is a CLEAR sign that you are no longer doing what is balanced and for your highest good. But, it has been hard to pull away. I was able to do online classes, but slowly those started to dwindle. I knew I needed a change on many levels, so I went back to the drawing board.
My method for that is meditation. I ask where I am needed and what I can be doing that will be fulfilling.
In a meditation, I was shown 2 crowdfunding businesses. One set up to help kids fundraise for their dreams and the other to help pet owners and smaller animal non-profits raise money to save animals. I thought this was brilliant! I loved the idea. Two of my passions. So I researched, had the sites built and have spent the last year and a half getting the word out there. I have worked with mentors, marketers, SEO people and anyone else you can imagine to gain direction and traction. But, since the beginning, I have had nothing but struggle getting people to sign up.
About the time I was getting confused and discouraged, I was chosen to participate in a online Cornell female entrepreneurial certification course. I was sponsored by Bank of America, so it was free to me. I was elated. Couldn’t have come at a better time.
The course is 3 months long and is designed specifically for women. It helps with every aspect of the business and specifically points out and helps women in areas that are not our strong point.
Throughout the program, you use one of your own businesses, or an idea you have for implementation. I started out with my kids crowdfunding site, but quickly pivoted to the healing app I had designed a few years previous.
Within the course was born new inspiration – inspiration to take everything I have known and loved into a new brand – a wellness brand. At the heart of it is my healing app I was shown in meditation years before with a new vision and updates that could help it be even more useful. This program was invaluable.
I’m still not quite sure what it is that I am meant to do with the crowdfunding sites, but I know it will come to me.
To me, life is all about pivoting when you feel stuck. If you don’t, the universe will speak to you in ways that creates obstacles and blocks that can get more and more painful until you stop and pay attention. When you do pay attention, magical opportunities can arise in ways you can never imagine.
