We recently connected with KRISTENICOLE ENTERTAINMENT and have shared our conversation below.
KRISTENICOLE, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Like so many, my music journey started at a young age. The music opportunities faded away as I got older but was always a spark inside my heart that I would visit from time to time. Music found its way back to me personally as an adult during a time of personal growth and healing for which I am truly grateful. With education and guidance from songwriter, Cooter Daniel, who learned the craft of songwriting from Kim Williams, co-writer of Randy Travis’ “Three Wooden Crosses”, and the influences of having grown up in a very musically rich area in East Tennessee where you will find names like Roy Acuff, Chet Atkins, Lois Johnson, Kenny Chesney, Morgan Wallen and many others have been the impact for me of how important music can be.
After learning how healing music can be from my own personal experience made me realize I was wasting a gift that I didn’t even know I had as a singer-songwriter and it was that realization that made me want to seriously step up to the challenge and pursue a music career that would help others.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
It all began with a cassette tape of the theme song from my favorite American children’s TV series. My parents claimed I wore it out as I jammed to it in the backseat of their minivan. I think they just couldn’t stand listening to it anymore as we drove back and forth from the city to our country home in Union County, Tennessee. My love for music didn’t stop there, but continued to grow into a very eclectic taste and style. In spite of my diverse love for music, my soul couldn’t help but fall in love the most with the Appalachian and western stories and sounds country music had to offer me as I grew up in East Tennessee. Now when I hear many of those familiar dancing melodies of banjos, dobros, fiddles and more, I find myself immersed in my childhood memories, recalling those shared musical moments I had with so many others in my younger years.
In high school I tried my hand at solo performances after many years of choir participation, musical education, and theatrical performances with several different organizations. From there I was given the opportunity to advance my career and develop an even stronger skill set of song-writing and performing. Eventually found myself in a career as a professional singer-songwriter.
In 2021 I released my very first original single “In God’s Time”. I haven’t looked back since the day that song was birthed. Since then I have had 4 #1 hit singles and 2022 Christian Country Song Of The Year – “Godly Woman” The journey thus far has been amazing and this year I was so honored to be nominated for Female Vocalist Of The Year, Vocalist Of The Year, and Artist Of The Year.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
When thinking about releasing a song it usually boils down to something I am needed to learn or remind myself of in whatever season I am currently in. I always say I can’t be the only one in need of the message of the songs that I need myself so for me the reward is in offering a helpful or encouraging message that can help others in their life journeys.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
As an indie artist I have learned the impact and importance of those who support the industry in ways both big and small. Indie artists wear many hats during the creative process from start to finish to bring product for us to enjoy and that takes time, effort, energy, and resources. From words of encouragement to pre-ordering our music, from sharing a song or social media post or even shopping an artist merch website when you’re looking for a gift – it all adds up and it is all appreciated and needed to help artists like myself keep doing what we love to bring you the music that you love.
