We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kristal Baith a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kristal, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have always been in healthcare and in leadership. I took a cruise a few years ago and really enjoyed getting that down time . I have always loved fashion and decided I wanted to give opening up an online boutique a try ! I put my plan into motion and a year later the online boutique evolved into a store front with my friend and fellow boutique owner Rebecca with Sparrow & Hue
Kristal, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a mom of a teen and a preteen . I have a new found confidence to be who I am and not be concerned with what others think . This allowed me to embrace new challenges such as , opening up a business as well as pursuing commercial print modeling and acting . There is freedom in no longer worrying about others thoughts and committing to believing in yourself . I love fashion of all kinds whether it be something super casual or something off the charts quirky . Our boutiques believe in empowering woman to be their true selves
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
It can be very humbling to work your booty off and get zero bites . Whether it be creating an extensive in store sale and have only 2 shoppers or whether it be going live on FB and have 2 watchers . You have to have the strength to keep going even though it can often feel very defeating.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
My business partner is also my neighbor. We connected at a pop up for boutique owners and soon realized that our business and core values were very similar. Our slogan is birds of a feather . I am boho belle the feather and she is sparrow and hue the bird
