We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Krista Clarke a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Krista, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Our mission for our business has always been to provide the best pet care and solutions possible to our clients. And here is why…
Growing up in the country, we always had tons and tons of animals. Everything from lizards, dogs, cats, snakes, lambs, chickens, we had a lot. One thing that was challenging was traveling or really go anywhere because we had so many pets to take care of. We also had boarding at our house. That is where others house their animals on our property for us to take care of. That also added more challenges when trying to travel.
When I was 16 years old, I started all four paws pet concierge I saw that there was a need for experienced handlers that knew how to take care of other peoples pets properly so that they could experience the world without having to worry. And from there it developed into a small business that I kept on the back burner for quite some time. In the meantime, I would take care of others, horses, their dogs, as needed, and by word of mouth.
A little over three years ago I met the Love Of My Life and moved up north to join him and his son. Becoming that kids mother has been the best joy of my entire life. But now having a partner that I can share my business with, and we can create something amazing is even better.
Once I moved up here and joined forces with Alec, my partner, we have become unstoppable.

Krista, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Who are we at All 4 Paws Pet Concierge
At All 4 Paws Pet Concierge we provide everything a pet parent will need to keep their pets happy and healthy. We provide everything from daily/weekly/monthly walks or runs, to house sits where we stay at our house and use it as our home base. During our walks/runs we take tons of photos and videos, as we as, a GPS coordinated map of everywhere we went and for how long we have been there. All of this is added to the pup report the pet parent gets at the end of our time together.

One thing we have found is that our pet parents would like transportation services to and from the groomer, vet, or from house to house. So that is something new that we have added. During our transports the pets are either transported in a crate or a seatbelt designed for pets.

Another fun service we added last year were adventure outings. This is where we either pick up your pet, or you drop off your pet with us at a fun destination to hike or play in the water. We have designated places throughout the county that are either a hike, hike with water, or just playing in the water. For those adventure outing we offer 90 minutes up to 3 hours. It’s just an all around fun time!

With all of our services we provide you will get a pet report at the end. I think that is what sets us apart from a lot of the companies out there right now. The comfort knowing that we can provide a peace of mind to our pet parents is what we strive to do with every contact.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

How did I meet my buisness partner Alec deGroot.
Wow! What a fun story! Not only is Alec my business partner, he is also the love of my life. It seems we met the same way everyone meets these days… online. It was actually Facebook that brought us together. He lived in the north county and I lived in the South Bay. One day he had to needed to take his brother to the airport, so we set up a date for pizza and the rest was history. Crazy thing is, neither of us knew we owns our own pet care businesses. When I moved up to the north county to be with Alec and his amazing son, Landon.
When we first started dating he didn’t have full custody of his son yet. Three months later, I became a Momma to the most amazing little boy. It wasn’t planned but I am more than willing to be this little boys Mom for life. When our son was diagnosed with Sever ADHD and Autism, I became became our sons IHSS provider along with a small business owner. We did a deep dive into his treatments and therapies all to get him to where he is now. He will be going in to Kindergarten and we couldn’t be more proud.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

How Facebook, did did I build my social media presence?
Well…it actually started back in college. I fell in love with radio and TV. By sheer mistake I took a radio class and the rest was history. It wasn’t until I took new media that I fell in love with making movies and videos. I later went on to get a degree in media studies. I have now translated that into a very successful TikTok, and Instagram. I love making videos and taking professional pictures of of the pets in our care. For every dog I take care their owner gets a video at the end of the day of what we did on our visits. The video is then shared with all social media platforms. We have so many grateful follows that get to follow along with our journey. They get to know the dogs and are excited when they see their favorites throughout the week. We have changed lives for some people. Not only are their educational reasons but also it is fun entertainment.
It’s fun for me, and fun for them.
