Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Krissy Teskera. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Krissy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
My ride or die – Rafa and I are passionate motorcyclists. Rafa has been riding for over 20 years and I started 4 years ago but dedicating all my free time to seat time. Meaning we ride whenever we have time. Therefore we saw a lot of unnecessary crashes in the Canyons and heard about so many accidents with fatal outcomes that we decided to try to get new riders and old ones out to the race track. We were going anyway, so we just spread the word in the motorcycle community and tried to offer others to go with us and work on their skills in a safe environment. That’s how The Moving Moto idea was born…
The Moving Moto:
After a few months of sharing our “services” with the community, we decided to make it official.
The Moving Moto was born. I created a website, and Instagram profile and started to work with all of the track organizations which we already knew, because we were riding track almost every month. Me and my partner are well known in the motorcycle community. Therefore it was not hard to find other riders who wanted to go with us and try a track day out with us. We didn’t even push it in the beginning. We were just posting and offering our services, and after a while, we got found by more and more riders. We were really happy to connect with them and bring them out to the track.
They are now friends and regular customers.
Usually, you would need a hitch, a truck, or any kind of way to transport a motorcycle and with that being said it’s not that easy to transport a Motorcycle safely you need to know how to strap it down, so it doesn’t move while going over the California freeways, which is very very bumpy. I heard many stories from riders “losing their bike on the freeway”. On top of that most riders leave the track early, because they need to return the rental trailer, well with us you never miss a session (9 am until 5 pm is a track day) because you leave the bike with us and we bring it back when the last customer is done riding. By the time you are showered and ready for dinner or bed, we bring your bike back (or you pick it up the same evening or the next day -it’s always discussed with the customer). We have a few options and work with all of our clients to make it as easy as possible for them.
We started with a small open trailer, literally able to transport 2 more motorcycles and ours. After Rafa had had a bad accident and was out of work for almost a year our “new trailer savings” were gone… but we came up with an idea and the community was supportive, we started to sell shirts with our logo to get a downpayment together to purchase an enclosed trailer. and here we are in 2024 even before the track day season started (Feb.) we upgraded to a 7 x 14 enclosed trailer with our logo on it, and we partnered up with Adrian Law firm, which is a huge supporter and sponsor of us. Rider himself and a dear close friend. If you ever have an accident or a ticket please don’t hesitate to reach out to www.adiranlawfirm.com. His consultation is free!
I started to work as a control rider/coach in the C group (Beginner group for new track riders) for the Track organization” Trackdaz”, so we are official and can help on track as well. They offer classes for new riders (FOR FREE) and have very very skilled coaches! One of the best in the game for over 20 years so yes THE BEST! www.Trackdaz.com
We now have regular customers and offering as well VIP TRACKDAY SERVICE, Meaning you just show up you ride and then you go home. We take care of everything else, before, while, and after.
We offer daily towing in the LA area. We work with almost every motorcycle dealership in LA, every Socal Trackday organization, and just recently with the California Superbike School. Meaning you want to attend the school and ride your bike, well we get it out there for you. We always have an answer for our customer’s motorcycle-related questions. We are very very very well connected and love to help whoever has a question or needs to be pointed in the right direction.
On the track, Customers have the opportunity to pit with us – meaning they not going to get charged if they stay at our “pit”. We have 3 10×10 canopies and always a spare chair if needed (tips are welcome but not mandatory). So even if you want to go by yourself, you’re not alone, you hang out with us.
We help you through the registration and tech inspection and get you out to your first session on time.
Rafa coaches and helps new track day attendees to get smooth into the day. We just love what we do!
You can book us now through our registration website “Track Rabbit”, which made the process so much easier for us and our customers. They have now the opportunity to pay with CC or Klarna etc. so small or big wallets have the opportunity to ride with us!

We want to expand next year but hey stay tuned there is more to come… Because we are always moving.

Krissy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Our riding journey:
I started riding in late 2020 when COVID was going on… my boss has a car and motorcycle collection so, work got less and less, but I still went to work every day and I got paid in full so obviously I looked for anything I could’ve done to fill my day with work. I started to check on the cars and motorcycles. (he has a collection).
Three of his BMWs didn’t start, so I decided to see if I could fix them. I’m pretty happy that he gave me the keys and just said OK, figure it out. These bikes are very expensive. After repairing three BMWs, changing the fuel pump, batteries, etc. I thought to myself, well if I can fix them, I can ride a bike, right?
And that’s where my motorcycle journey started. I took some one one-on-one lessons and after about four weeks, I had my license and this was my start into the motorcycle community. I started to ride to Malibu / The Rock Store, where I met a ton of people, later on, I started to ride at ACH (Angeles Crest Highway) (I’m pretty outgoing and bubbly) so no problem for me to connect with other riders. At some point, I had my first Motorcycle track day where I met my now “ride-or-die” Rafa, who is now my partner and “head of transportation” 🙂.
Rafa’s story started in the early days (I think he was like a 12 or so) when he went with his uncle – who is a rider as well – and took him to the race track. He helped out in the pit and that’s how his passion for 2Wheels started.

Proud of:
We are so well established in that short amount of time in the motorcycle community and we have such a great and huge network. We are proud that we can say that we are recognized by the Track Day organizations, dealers, shops, clubs, etc. We established The Moving Moto so well, that we already have VIP customers in the movie industry. Can’t say who it is. ;-)
We are reliable and trustworthy and we are proud of that everyone we worked with and everyone who knows us says the same. “We are the best in the game”. Thank you for that, we worked hard to get there and we keep working to stay there.
What sets us apart from others:
We treat every bike as if it were ours, because we are riders ourselves, and we do love the personal connection with our customers. We are discreet and take care of every bike as if it were our own. We help where we can, we always can point you in the right direction, shop-wise, coaching, gear, parts, storage (we offer that as well), we are just being us. We treat every customer the same, you ride a bike that’s what counts for us! We go above and beyond for our customers who mostly become friends.
We invite you to experience our exclusive VIP Trackday service, designed for those who seek a seamless and effortless experience. Simply arrive, ride your ride your ride, and depart at your convenience. Our premium service ensures that you can fully immerse yourself in the thrill of the track while we take care of everything.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
For us, it’s pretty easy to stay in contact with our clients because they mostly become friends. We are active in the community and established a huge circle of people who follow us on social media.
We invite them to ride with us when we have free time and we plan on going on a canyon ride on Sunday mornings. I rather have them ride with us than alone.
We text and we call just to check in and say hi! Social media helps us to keep everyone updated on our activities and we promote our calendar on our Instagram page (themovingmoto).
We inform about events and we invite others to join us.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
To build your reputation you should stay the way you are, don’t fake, don’t flake, you promise something you keep that promise.
Be authentic, and honest, and never lie to a client or customer just to get the job! NEVER! You are your business and you represent it 24/7!
Help others and don’t see competition as the “enemy” – I always say “competition stimulates business” its a german saying :-).
If you are authentic and honest, business will come to you, you don’t have to look or fight for it. Makes sense?
