We were lucky to catch up with Krissy Bautista recently and have shared our conversation below.
Krissy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What was your school or training experience like? Share an anecdote or two that you feel illustrate important aspects or the overall nature of your schooling/training experience.
Currently, I have a few weeks left of the second quarter of the Masters of Intuition Medicine® program at the Academy of Intuition Medicine®. I enrolled at the Academy about 18 months ago and I will graduate in July of 2024. Of all the formal trainings that I have gone through, my journey in this school has been my most profound experience.
The best way to describe my experience so far is by using the illustration of a butterfly in its chrysalis as well as the illustration of what a metal refiner does. When I started at the Academy, I was a caterpillar entering my chrysalis, trusting the process of change and transformation.
During this metamorphosis, I would best describe my experience as what a refiner of precious metals does. A refiner sits directly over the pot and when the impurities arise he immediately scoops them out. He also knows when the refining process is over when he can see his image shining back at him through the molten metal.
As I shed layers of myself – ways of being that no longer serve my highest good – it has helped me reach the true essence of my soul. I have begun to discover my true nature, which is unlimited and unbelievably powerful. Intuition is a place where I reside rather than visit. I have opened up to the most vast and incomprehensible universe and it is quite a delight.
This kind of existence makes life a really sweet and enjoyable ride.
Enrolling myself in this program is one of the greatest gifts I have ever given myself. The Academy would connect me to the most divine aspect of myself. I know who I am and I know what my purpose is. A reclaimed spirituality, a deep sense of support and community, and experiencing the world as a magical place of abundance and possibilities.
During this period of transformation, I am encountering myself at my deepest core of love, power and will. As this work continues, I am grateful to begin to live in my full light, to give myself permission to do so more fully than I ever have and not being afraid of its power or submitting to those who would dim it.
As I undergo change in my chrysalis at the Academy, I have opened up to the most vast and incomprehensible universe.

Krissy, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a healer. “How did you get into that?” Is a question I get all the time. “It has always been a part of me. It is who I am.” Is my response every time. During my admissions interview for the Academy of Intuition Medicine, Dr. Francesca McCartney asked me something no one has ever asked me before, “When did you know you were different?” I sat there for a few minutes in reflection. “I was a few days old and my parents brought me home from the hospital. It’s my first memory. I remember that day vividly, like it just happened yesterday. I had this awareness, that I was in a body that I couldn’t really move around the way I wanted to and that the only way to communicate was by crying. I couldn’t voice in words what I wanted. All I could do was cry and hope my mom would understand what I needed.”
I guess you could say that, that sets the stage for the rest of my life until now of being and feeling different from others. I was no older than four years old when I did my first healing. I have always had an insatiable desire to learn and understand people in all their multifaceted ways and depths and I also have a wonderment for the universe and wanting to know how it works.
I am trained in a multidisciplinary way, so I bring an integral approach to healing and wellness for my clients. I received my holistic health training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and I am a member of the International Association for Health Coaches and am board certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
After graduating, I studied Herbal Medicine at the Herbal Academy of New England and am a certified herbalist.
I also received training at Amen University under Dr. Daniel Amen, receiving in-depth training in neurobiology, practical neuroscience, and how to perform, read, and apply brain SPECT imaging in order to improve your mood, memory, behavior, attention and emotional health.
I am a Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath Certified Practitioner with the HeartMath Institute.
And as I mentioned earlier, I am currently in the Masters program at the Academy of Intuition Medicine. Upon graduation, my intention is to pursue my PhD in Energy Medicine.
I practice a holistic approach to health, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected – physically, emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually – to fully integrate the health and wellness of the mind, body and soul.
I specialize in working with the body’s subtle energy systems by teaching you how to balance your chakras, remove energy blocks and cords, clear harmful energies, address ancestral or past-life traumas, and create a healthy, protected energy system. I also assist people in eliminating many negative beliefs, patterns, ideas, experiences and trauma that have hindered them in finding happiness, balance and success in their lives.
Every month, I facilitate Sound Bath Meditations all over the Los Angeles area with Loci Romano and Jackie Brubaker. We are called The Sacred Sisters. We offer guided curated sound healing ceremonies which can include things such as Bodywork, a Cacao Ceremony, Energy Work, Intuitive Readings and special guests.
I also offer one-on-one private sessions for people who would like to work with me on a deeper level.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
I believe the key to success in my field, or anything for that matter, is to move through life from a heart-centered place.
Our heart is the strongest biological oscillator in the human system. The rest of the body’s systems can be pulled into entrainment with the heart’s rhythms. What does this mean? Your entire body works in harmony and your biological systems operate at higher efficiency because of that harmony, and as a result you think and feel better. Your intuitive clarity is heightened and you have a greater sense of well-being.
When your body is in sync with your heart, you experience greater levels of creativity, solutions for challenges, and spiritual connection. And you can liberate yourself from unhelpful stories, negative projections and seemingly endless worries that keep you locked in 3D consciousness (in which you are run by emotions like fear, worry, anxiety, resignation, insecurity regarding choices and direction, and more).
We transcend our ordinary performance and feel in harmony with something else – whether it’s a glorious sunset, inspiring music, or another human being – what we’re really coming into sync with is ourselves. Not only do we feel more relaxed and at peace at such moments, but the entrained state increases our ability to perform well and offers numerous health benefits. In entrainment, we’re at our optimal functioning capacity. Our bodies were designed to function at optimum capacity when the heart and head are highly attuned to one another and working together.
If you’ve ever felt that there’s untapped potential within you waiting to be unlocked, your power to achieve this lies within you heart. And the key to unlocking it is through accessing your heart intelligence. It is the epicenter of our body and acts as the gateway to our higher self.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
There are so many resources that have impacted my management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy. If I were to narrow it down, I highly recommend these books: “Body of Health: The New Science of Intuition Medicine for Energy & Balance” by Francesca McCartney, PHD; “Heart Intelligence: Connecting with the Intuitive Guidance of the Heart” by Doc Childre, Howard Martin, Deborah Rozman and Rollin McCraty; and “Love and Healing: A Guide to Emotional Wellness” by Dr. Russell Clayton.
I encourage everyone to check out the incredible research done on the intelligence of the heart by the HeartMath Institute at https://heartmath.com/.
These are good places to start. And as you go on your journey, you’ll transform your life and your world from the inside out, as you unlock your full potential by developing your intuitive and inner guidance system. These practices are designed to help you find greater joy as you live from a place of heart-centered awareness. As you transform and transcend, you create a beautiful ripple effect throughout the world, whether you’re looking to strengthen your personal wellbeing or contribute to improving global consciousness.
