We recently connected with Kriska Healing and have shared our conversation below.
Kriska Healing, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
My journey into healing and mindfulness began in 2021 after experiencing burnout from the corporate world. The first signs of burnout appeared a year before the “final crash”—I was easily triggered, constantly nervous, and anxiety had become a part of my daily life. At the time, I didn’t even realise I was heading towards a full burnout. I ignored the signs and continued living at the same pace I I had grown accustomed to.
However, by early 2021, I felt myself sinking deeper into despair, and physical symptoms started to manifest. I suffered from sleep disorders, lost my appetite, and found myself crying daily. I was utterly exhausted. One night, after struggling to sleep, my heart began pounding loudly, and I realised I was having a panic attack. The next morning, after only a few hours of sleep, I woke up in tears. That was the moment I understood I could no longer live the way I had been. That very morning, I handed in my resignation letter.
After leaving my job, I decided to take time off for myself—something I had never done before. I had a choice: dive deep within myself or continue living the way I always had. Knowing the old way was no longer sustainable,
I chose to embark on a journey of self-healing, mindfulness, and reconnecting with myself. In that moment, I decided to invest in myself & my well-being and this was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
At one point when I was working in the corporate world, I started to wonder how to become a health coach or something related to that as health & well-being started to manifest as more and more important topics for me. Yet, I didn’t get into it before I had my own personal experience with the burnout.
Even though this moment was very hard for me, I really see it as a blessing in disguise as it led me to another level in my own life, the connection that I have now with myself & putting my own needs as a priority. This led to to become a holistic health coach and it gave me an opportunity to create a health coaching programme that I would have benefitted at the time I had burnout. So basically, this is designed for the version of myself that was on the path to healing from burnout.
The programme is designed for everyone who..
…has experienced burnout and is on the path to recovery, seeking strategies and support to rebuild their energy and well-being.
…is dealing with symptoms such as chronic fatigue, emotional exhaustion, and decreased performance, and needs effective ways to manage and alleviate these symptoms.
…wants to learn how to prevent burnout from worsening and how to implement strategies to protect their well-being.
…is interested in a holistic approach that addresses both physical and mental aspects of healing.
…desires a supportive environment & wants to learn with the coach.
…is ready to reclaim control over their life and make decisions that align with their true self.
…believes in the power of food as medicine and wants to learn how to use nutrition to support their healing journey.
…is interested in practicing mindful cooking and eating, understanding how to listen to their bodies’ needs, and nurturing it with the right foods.
…wishes to learn how to prepare meals that are not only healthy but also delicious and satisfying.
…is committed to making meaningful changes in their life and is ready to take action to achieve their goals.
…is eager to invest in their personal growth, seeking continuous improvement and lifelong learning.
What sets me apart from others is that the programme is designed based on my own real-life experience. I take holistic approach into healing & as I have developed a strong connection with myself, I do include some intuition based practices into this programme. In addition to that, all the recipes that are provided for you are designed for your personally, based on your health situation (I take into account your overall health, if you have any allergies, if you prefer vegan or not, etc.)
This 1:1 programme for burnout prevention & recovery took me over a year to develop, so I am just very happy that it is now out there! :)

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to learn to trust my own voice and intuition instead of basing my choices on others’ opinions. In the past, I often sought external validation, but I’ve realised that advice comes from personal experiences and perspectives that may not align with my own path. Deep down, I already know the answers—I just need to listen. While it’s natural to seek reassurance, learning to trust myself has been a journey. In the end, only you know what’s truly best for you.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Being authentic is essential. When you embrace who you truly are, you naturally attract the right people—those who appreciate and value you for your genuine self. But if you hide behind a false version of yourself, the people meant for you may never find you. Being real not only strengthens your relationships but also allows you to live with confidence and fulfillment.
