Alright, Krish thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
The film industry in the USA is experiencing a surge in streaming platforms, providing both challenges and opportunities. While this allows for diverse storytelling and increased accessibility, concerns arise around traditional cinema’s viability. The film industry is also leaning towards interactive storytelling and virtual experiences. A recent example involves a production company blending film with virtual reality, allowing viewers to shape the narrative. This trend offers opportunities for deeper audience engagement but raises concerns about accessibility and production costs and that will be the primary focus for my production company notably. .

As a Co-Founder of Blue Volt studios my aim for the strong foundation of my company is:-

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Moving from a small town in India to Los Angeles, I had to unlearn thinking success is only about big budgets and Hollywood. The backstory involves figuring out how rich narrative is outside of geographical limits. Despite the lack of resources, creativity thrived in my home town. I learned from this change that real stories have an international appeal, no matter how big or small. It’s a lesson in appreciating narrative above spectacle and discovering sources of inspiration in unlikely places.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
For a small film production company like ours, the best way we’ve found new clients is through word of mouth. When our clients are happy and recommend us to others, it brings in great opportunities. Also, networking is proved to be the key, going to industry events, film festivals, and connecting with local businesses and creative communities has helped us build a solid network and get referrals and with our resilience we wish to keep thriving.
