Alright, KriSean thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I first knew I wanted an artistic path at a very young age, 7 when I use to always want to put on shows for my family. Professionally I didn’t start creating my own lane until late year 2020.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I got into the industry a little blindsided, not knowing certain things about the music industry so I had to do a lot research. I just knew I had a voice that I wanted to use creatively for the world to hear. I started by originally hitting different producers on Instagram & sending videos of me singing and letting them know like hey this is something I wanna really take serious I know I have no music for you to reference but I’m willing to put in the work to show you I’m capable of being a musician.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I would have to say doing everything without management so far is very rewarding. Although I do have a small group of people that are helping push the music it’s just different knowing what you can do for yourself. It’s like pushing myself to do better than what I just did.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Promoting myself consistently, running ads, and just keeping my followers engaged in what I’m doing next & also my close family and friends help as well. Put out quality work, and content. The audience loves that.
