We were lucky to catch up with Kris K recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kris , thanks for joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
Once I had it in my head I wanted to start my business, I told people what I planned on doing so I could be held accountable if I did not produce. After speaking my vision into the universe , I started looking for headphone vendors , everything was higher than I expected and all the websites looked very sketchy. It took me two years of research to find a trustworthy vendor. Afterwards I just ordered one pair of headphones to ensure the company was legit. Then I went from one to five then five to thirty and thirty to one hundreds headsets . I also have a plethora of other party equipment that helps me execute my parties effectively.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
As a music and headphone lover it was quite easy to fall in love with this concept. As a child I lived with a set of headphones in my ear and in the latter part of my life I worked for a company that sells high prices headphones. We purposely cater to smaller private events . We typically operate off bookings but we have hosted and collaborated with other companies to curate events . What sets us apart is our creativity. We have paired silent party headphones with other applications that were not done before until we did it . For example: Silent Tailgating , Silent Karaoke, Silent Open Mic , Silent Bowling , Silent Mini Golf , Silent Sip and Paint and lots more . We also provide our own power and DJ so our customers save time and money . I want my current and future customers to know we are constantly working to pave the way forward. We will bring new concepts as often as we can think of them .
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I don’t have a grand story on how I built capital. I just saved my money and decided that it was time to put shopping and traveling aside for a minute and think about my future. I’m so strict on myself about wasting money so once I purchased the first pair of headphones I was fully invested.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I use social media and blast emails to stay engaged.
