We recently connected with Kosha Green and have shared our conversation below.
Kosha, appreciate you joining us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
Through out the year, I am constantly implementing small things into my business that allows me show my clients that they are not just another number. In fact, once a year I host an event where I give back and also present category awards. I am a firm believer that actions speaks louder than words and I love to show my gratefulness to them every chance that I get.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
My name is Kosha Green. Owner of Alluring Beauty Studio, LLC. I am a well rounded beauty professional who specializes in one of the most popular forms of braiding, Knotless Braids. Entrepreneurship and serving others has always lived with in me. At a very early age I began performing beauty services on my family and friends. After completing high school I was eager to dive right into cosmetology, graduating in 2011. Now with over 10 years of professional experience, I am extremely grateful with the positive impact that I have been able to pour into others lives through out my journey.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Finding your niche or target audience on social media is super important in today’s time. Being intentional about what you display online is always the route to go. Stay true to who you are because everything that’s currently trending may or may not represent your business in a positive light and while you want people to follow & engage with your content, you also want to
build a genuine/authentic audience. Always show up as yourself & be exactly who you portray yourself to be online, in person. This is how you build trust with your prospective clients.
We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
For many years I treated my beauty career as a “side hustle”. Although I loved it, I became a young mom shortly after finishing school. I had plenty things to think about and prioritize during that phase of my life & felt as if it wasn’t the right timing to go full time. Over time, I realized that there was absolutely no other jobs that brought joy and peace to me. After many prayers and planning I finally stepped out on faith and opened my very own salon studio. I have been full time in this industry for about 3.5 years and it has been one of the best decisions of my life. There are struggles along the way to building a successful small business however determination and support will get you through it.
