Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kory Douglas-Davis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kory , appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Being an innovative person has always given me the leverage I needed in any industry that I have worked in. Particularly as an Independent Bartender who thinks outside the box while using the necessary skills acquired in my formal training at Atlanta Professional Bartending School ( June of 2019). My passion for people, service, hospitality and making elevated cocktails has afforded me many opportunities locally, Nationwide, and in the Caribbean. From small house parties, to wedding receptions, private gatherings ( requiring NDA), apartment clubhouses, corporate events, and the list goes on with regards to the events WE/I service large and small. In this service with a smile industry; marketing and advertising plays a big role in garnering clients and attracting collaborative efforts with Beverage Companies and other Companies in events services arena. My ultimate mission is to set the “bar” high in standards, service, and the wow experience. In the event I have to have outsource or partner with others in the industry to meet said clients service goals: I always have a plan of execution which is rewarding on the financial end once service is generated and completed by all parties involved. Work smart and not too hard; on the other hand enjoy what you and the rewards will come plenty.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Personality, presentation, professionalism, skill level, service, and being advance/up to date in my payment options with quick access ie; my website . ( www.kdliquidlove.com) We access all forms of payments for the deposit but our website is our main source of tracking. Our service provider is Vista Print which we process payments through PayPal for business. Our marketing strategy across all social media platforms helps with free and paid promotions on availability of services. With the support of followers, friends, family, and former and present clients; good ole ” word of mouth” helps tremendously with building my reputation within the event services market. It is also imperative for Business Owners to attend conventions, small business forums, check out their competition, network with Event and Catering Companies along with Event Space Venues, join Facebook Groups I(with regards to your business model) and also posses tangible and visible marketing materials ie; car decals, branded uniforms, etc. You are your brand; so be the best version of you at all times!

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Social Media and building content; digitality with regards to quality and non quality videos/pictures. Documenting your work, your services, and sometimes the function of your operations gives clients a full visual of what to expect when purchasing or utilizing your services or products. For me as bartender; content creation of me in action has helped “secure the bag” with many clients who love what the see and the energy and good vibes they get from the visuals.
Reviews via Facebook and Google have been another major source of validating my work ethic, other clients experience, and also clients visuals they have captured in moments while working for them. Attendees of events who love or are opinionative on the quality of service experience are also great for growing your business because they too share in the moments of the event with the client. You as a business owner should always want feedback from your events; so that you can be better than the time before. ” Growth with opportunity!”
