We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kori Martz. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kori below.
Kori, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
Over the course of my life, I’ve been known to follow my heart which often can be interchangeable with taking risk. How do I jump into something new? I follow my heart and intuition. My mind tells me to think logically, look before you leap, read the fine print. My heart asks, are you happy where you are? Is this all you want to experience in this life? If you stay in this space, will you feel a sense of fulfillment? Or do you want more?”
This has driven a successful career in makeup artistry. At the drop of a dime I left everything, my family, my career, Arizona to move back to Michigan to care for my grandmother. That was one of my greatest life changes and challenges. After I went back to comfort, aesthetics. Once again I was forced to contemplate the question: Is this my passion? The answer was simply No, my passion is helping people. I chose to redirect my path and use my special abilities as a medium. I also became a life coach along the way, so I created my own career.
I risked comfort once more and leapt into the world of Spiritual coaching. I had to express to people my truth, and I thrive in helping them to speak theirs.
Judgement of ourselves and what others think, really held me back for far too long. I realized my passions are far more important than someone’s opinion of my passion and what drives my soul. Judgement stems from discomfort and unfamiliarity, difference from the norm even.
Today, my business is growing and the support has been incredible!
I’m so grateful to have the ability help others on their journey, to assist and guide them in overcoming their blocks and barriers that prevent them from reaching their fullest potential. That has the greatest return on investment.
My greatest advice is to follow your fear. If it scares you, do that.

Kori, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hello! My name is Kori, a redheaded natural healing enthusiast. My work is to assist and guide you on your healing path. Using my intuition and natural gifts, To guide others to solutions, gain clarity, offer a brighter outlook to any challenging or uncomfortable situation. Feeling “stuck” is a great indicator for the potential need for assistance. Working with Angels and the Divine to provide grace, peace, assisting those in their Awakening Process and walking their Divine life paths.
Signs the universe are nudging you for expansion may include: repeating numbers, sudden challenge in life, and change. I was blessed with these gifts to inspire others to help you discover and overcome your limiting beliefs, to become the human you were meant to be.
Your soul is pure light, I hold space for you to remember and give you the tools necessary to become and embrace that.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
When I began working for myself, I had to unlearn the instilled idea of securing a 9-5 job, monday through Friday. Companies needed all of us, and we need to work for them and grow their dreams. Growing someone else’s business. A lack mindset; the stress of requiring a “safe” bi-weekly or weekly paycheck to provide a feeling of security has kept us in a fear based cycle. Abundance is available to everyone, the Universe has more than enough to provide for everyone! This is the hardest mindset to release when you are fighting our greatest component: society. There is a lack of cheerleaders for those working independently. I learned to be my biggest cheerleader and drown out the insecure naysayers.
Do I feel lack? only when I allow my mindset to shift to old patterns. Reminding myself and other business owners, we are capable and remembering our “why” helps to reset my mind and prevent the fall back into what I was taught to follow and believe. The one and only thing you should believe in, is you.
Believe in yourself above all.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Social media is a common place to connect and network globally. I’ve found growth through Tiktok, offering a complimentary daily Collective Tarot Reading to provide hope and direction while navigating the extreme highs and low energy waves we’ve been experiencing. I don’t have a large presence on other platforms because of the unique community support Tiktok provides I don’t feel I need to be everywhere.
Regardless of your niche, TikTok supports and allows your audience to grow. For growing a following and a positive one at that, I highly encourage you to consider Tiktok.
My greatest tip for utilizing this platform is consistency. Show up organically and those who are meant to find you will.
