We were lucky to catch up with Kori Diener recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Kori thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

My parents have offered an incredible example of entrepenuership. They started their own pool cleaning and repair company in 1995, Diener’s Pool and Spa, and have worked together to make it a success. It gave me a first hand example of what working for yourself looks like. Naturally they went through all of the ups and downs, that businesses do. Adjusting to the slower and busier seasons. They have even started doing new things during the winter months, to make up for the income shifts. Its really exciting to see how they have grown. Id definitely say its a great expander for me as a fellow entrepenuer. Not to mention my mom has been invaluable with getting all the self-employed logistics set up.

Kori , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Hi my name is Kori, Im 29 years old and an Arizona Native. I skipped traditional schooling and started working for a property management company in 2012, when I was 19 , no idea where it was going to take me, I just needed a job at the time. After 5 years, I had worked my way up the ladder until I hit the point where I needed to get my real estate license to continue evolving within the company. So when it came time to go to real estate school, I decided I was going to do it for myself instead of through the company.

I was a solid 9-5 girl, loved having a set amount of money and benefits every week. I dropped all of that to enter the world of entrepenuership. Beginning in real estate is not easy, there are so many different avenues to go down, and was i really ready to be on my own? I was terrified, so I decided to start on a team, I learned a lot, but still had a feeling of working for someone else. And my soul was pushing me to do it my own way.

So I stepped out, and became a solo agent in 2018 and instantly the universe started rewarding me, bringing contracts and referrals my way. At the time I didnt realize what was happening until the world shifted in 2020.

When the world shifted, I was lost. How do I approach real estate now? People are dying and we cant go outside, how am I supposed to call them and ask to sell their house? Everyone had to adjust what they were doing, and in my heart I knew it was time for a pivot in my life. Times were getting harder, and I was craving a connection to something greater.

For years, I had been interested in a metaphysical school, based out of LA, called 22 teachings. When the pandemic hit, all classed went online, and I immediately dove straight in. I took every class I could, studying constantly, it consumed my life. By the end of 2020 I was fully certified in magic fundamentals, Tarot reading, and Astrology. I had no intention of using this knowledge as a career. Until one day I was talking with my therapist and going on and on about how the planets are at this position creating this adverse affect, ect. When she suggested thinking about using this passion to help others. So I started doing readings for my friends and family for free, it was so fun and I really enjoyed it. Then one day someone gave me a donation for a reading, and I was so taken a back. Imposter syndrome is real. After discussing with my teacher and other people in my industry they agreed that its calling me.

After continuing to practice for another year, in January 2022, I decided to create Irok Metaphysics! Irok is my name spelled backwards, which I thought was fitting because thats what metaphysics is, looking at things in a different way. Through this business I offer 30 min or 1 hr tarot readings, various degrees of astrological birth chart interpretations, and home/business energy clearing.

As an intuitive empath hermetic metaphysician, I am here to assist others in working with the elements to better guide their lives. These are arts that have been used for centuries to reveal cosmic truths. Holding a personal story book for self awareness; clear guidance, creative growth, and tools for manifestation of ones true self can be gained. It shifts our thinking, gets us out of mental ruts, and inspires us to take action. Like a proverbial wise man on a mountaintop, it drops kernels of truth at our feet and asks us what we will choose to do with them. To me, these arts are a fabulous way to analyze all the information at play and ascertain the most likely outcomes based on current free-will choices. I’ve found it invaluable in my decision-making processes, and I love using tarot/astrology to help others find their own “aha!” moments. This can be very helpful especially during this time with so many unknowns.

All of this also ties into real estate, because a home is the physical manifestation of a persons energetic center. Ive found that maintaining my connection to source ripples into each transaction, allowing the most aligned offer to be accepted, or the highest alignment for housing options to be available. Creating more abundance and growth for my clients.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

The lesson I have had to unlearn is that I need wait until I am perfect or someone else has deemed me worthy of impacting others. There is a narative that society drills into us that you must be nominated for something or achieved a degree or 4 before you can help others. That you must get first in the race or be the best to have an impact. I am allowed to be BOTH a work in proress AND help others grow at the same time, and through this I am unapologetically accepting a life of massive growth and improvement.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?

My empathetic and intuitive nature. I have the ability to fully put myself in anothers position and feel exactly what they are feeling. I can provide messages and guidance from a place of heart centerdness. Leaving my ego at the door. This also helps in real estate, because I can understand each seller/buyers different circumstances from a deeper level, and use my intuition to take the steps needed to put them in the best situation possible. Adding a special level of human touch that real estate industry has been missing.
