We were lucky to catch up with Kordell Rhodes recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kordell, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the story of how you went from this being just an idea to making it into something real.
The idea started with my grandpa constantly telling me that I should draw and what happen to me drawing in the first place? So I pondered on that thought for a while before choosing to name my business Art world productions. I have been drawing since I could use a pencil and mainly I like to draw the faces of others in my own cartoonish type of style. It has been now 2 years and it has defitnetly been ups and downs but I have enjoyed the journey of starting my first business and getting the experience of what it is like to be your own boss. I have had a lot of viral drawings and videos so far behind this business so I can say that in all words it has been so good so far and I only expect it to get better as time goes on. People have bought merch from art world productions, got drawings and been apart of my social media networks those who I greatly appreciate. I see big things coming in the future and I am optumistic enough and patient enough to see the growth in art world productions.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Well My name is Rashad the Artist but most call me Rashad and I considered myself an artist in all aspects of the word. I have a passion for the arts and I chose to start a business based around the arts. I have been drawing since I could use a pencil and I am just proud that I thought of this idea. The amount of support makes me happy and I hope the support continues in the near future. My clients feel happy when I draw them feeling like someone admires them thus brings confort and ease. What sets me apart from others is my eye is on the future so it may not pay off today but I know everything I do will in the future.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building an audience is basically just being yourself. I feel like the right people come along when you are being who you are. Still have a lot of growing to do but so far that method has been working for me!
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I often wish I knew how many funding programs I could have used to help my business get capitol. I really want to join more non-profit organizations that could help in the world of the arts if I can as I continue to move forward. I’m seeking to make charity a big focus in the near future for art world productions.
