We were lucky to catch up with KONG. recently and have shared our conversation below.

KONG. , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

My name is KONG. and my community is called KONGREGATION. – Our mission is to bring people together from all walks of life and transcend our differences through the universal power of music.

KONG. , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I’ve been making music my whole life. It was always the one thing that made sense to me. To create is a way of life. It helps to overcome personal obstacles and can be therapy for self and others. I believe music is a powerful tool that helps build community and unite people together against all odds and my music is meant to do just that.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

I have been singing my whole life. But I wasn’t born with a perfect voice. In fact, I’ve had to work very hard to become a singer. I even had 2 vocal surgeries when I was younger due to over use and abuse. It wasn’t until I let my BEAST. out and allow my higher power to take over that I became a spiritual voice. And now whether it’s a good day or a bad day, I can always use this voice to spread love and joy around the world.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Connection is number 1. I don’t believe in having “fans”. I want to grow this community and have friends and even those I consider family from all across the globe. If you’re part of the KONGREGATION. – then you’re a part of my life beyond the music alone. And I’m a part of yours. This has helped me build my social media presence and also makes my world a whole lot bigger and better. It’s the people in our lives that make it worth living. I’m grateful for every soul who is a part of mine.
