We were lucky to catch up with Kody Brown recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Kody thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

The mission behind Sasquatch Outdoors is to provide sick, disabled, and special needs children with outdoor experiences.

Though we do take any opportunity we can to support and help all kids getting outside! We are sponsoring team Arizona in the little league western regional championships right now, for both baseball and softball!

The mission to want to help kids get outside comes from the lifelong passion and relationship I have had with the outdoors.

When I was going through a bunch of health problems myself as a kid I always stayed connected to the outdoors and it helped me feel better, whether it was sports or hunting and fishing with my dad we always stayed as active as possible and made a ton of great memories while we were at it.

We are just about to take our first candidate out fishing and we couldn’t be more excited!

My names Kody Brown!

Im from Waynesboro, Pennsylvania and I am an entrepreneur!

I own Kodys Lawn & home solutions and Sasquatch Outdoors

Thanks for taking the time to read about me, never thought I’d get an opportunity like this in my life!

I started my first business when I was 13 years old, I asked my dad if I could have money to take a girl to the movies on Saturday and he told me he knew how I could earn some instead.
Growing up in a small town there’s only so many options for a kid to be able to earn some cash and we had a family friend doing some landscaping on the side at the time so I worked with him for a day and fell in love with being able to step back and see how much I was able to change a homes appearance!

I started knocking on doors and mowing grass for anyone that would take a chance on a kid asking to mow their lawn.

I worked really hard all of high school to build up clientele and some good references so that when I graduated I could build a company with employees.

My dad was the biggest help through all of those times, he would work for free never taking any money just to help me succeed. Without my dad’s selflessness those years who knows where we would have ended up!

When I graduated in 2016 I hired my first full time employee and we went to work!

I made my share of mistakes along the way but now we have between 5-6 employees at any time and a few crews, it’s pretty incredible watching my dreams come to life. I’m pretty proud of the fact I’ve been able to remain focused and stick to it.

What I think sets me aside is my drive to wanna help others, I’m the kinda guy who drops anything to help or be there for someone in need, especially my loved ones.

I started a new company this year called Sasquatch Outdoors!

Our mission is to take as many sick, disabled and special needs children on outdoor adventures. We are just about to take our first kid out fishing and we’re more than excited to do so.

Through our merchandise sales, donations and the kindness of other business’s we will be able to help more kids in the future all over the world hopefully!

I’ve acquired 3 lawn mowing companies,I bought these up and took over their customers for two reasons, it’s a quick expansion to the size of the company with no marketing needed and I get to ensure that these customers aren’t just left to the wayside searching for another company to help take care of their needs. We all win!

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.

My business’s are both solely owned by me but I have 2 guys that help me run them.

I met both Brad and Matt through the Waynesboro Stallions youth football team we all have remained friends since 12 years old.

When given the opportunity to bring on two of my best friends to help me run my business’s it was an easy choice.

We have our share of problems and arguments but at the end of the day there’s nobody else I’d rather be on this journey with than those guys!
