Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Knox Kronenberg. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Knox , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
For me, photography is not just about capturing a moment. It was about creating an experience, telling a story that would stay with people. I wanted my work to pull viewers in, blending the past with the present, the wild with the refined, the ordinary with the extraordinary.
I decided to take the risk of turning my passion into a career, —one that wasn’t just about selling art, but about immersing people in the stories behind the images. Every piece, every detail, had to serve that purpose.
My first mission was to build relationships. I didn’t want to just sell photos; I wanted to connect with people, to share my passion and create an experience. The risk was worth it. Every photo, every connection, every new step brings me closer to my mission—making art that inspires, connects, and leaves a lasting impact.
I didn’t just want to sell art; I wanted to create a place where my work could live, where it could spark a conversation, evoke emotion, and inspire. This meant endless hours behind the camera, pushing myself to capture images that weren’t just visually stunning but carried a deeper meaning. The raw, intimate moments of history and culture I wanted to portray had to resonate on a level that could connect with anyone who stood before them.
I spent years traveling around the world, shooting, and immersing myself in new experiences. I wanted every photo I created to be more than just something for a wall—it had to be something people could step into, traveling through time to combine the old and new. But art is only part of the equation. I quickly realized that building relationships with collectors—people who truly understood the value of what I was offering—was just as important as the work itself.
I focused on connecting with people who didn’t just want to buy art but wanted to be part of the story. I share experiences, the moments behind the lens, the passion that fueled each shot. These collectors weren’t just investing in an image—they were investing in a piece of my journey, a piece of the world I was trying to show them. Over time, these relationships grew, and they became a community that valued the deeper connection my work offered.
Once I felt that solid foundation beneath me, the idea of the gallery took shape. I knew Jackson Hole, Wyoming, would be the perfect place to make my vision a reality—a place where people could truly experience what I was creating. I didn’t want a typical gallery. I wanted a space where the art wasn’t just something to be observed from a distance but something you could step into, feel, and understand on a deeper level. I am so excited to see where my path continue to take me.

Knox , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Knox Kronenberg is a Texas-born fine art photographer who wields the power of large-scale black-and-white imagery to tell bold, unforgettable stories—bridging the past and present, the wild and the refined, the familiar and the extraordinary. His work isn’t just about capturing a moment; it’s about pulling the viewer into an immersive world, where history, culture, and raw emotion collide.
For Knox, selling art is never the end of a relationship—it’s the beginning. His currency isn’t just money; it’s experiences and connections. He uses his work as a catalyst to build meaningful relationships, both with the people in his photographs and with the collectors who bring them into their lives. Every image he creates is fueled by a relentless pursuit of adventure, storytelling, and the human connection that binds us all.
At the core of his work is a singular mission: to inspire passion on a massive scale. Passion is what drives his art, his business, and his life. Through his lens, he juxtaposes worlds that others might never imagine fitting together, weaving narratives that not only resonate deeply with collectors but also command attention in the high-end art market.
Most recently, Knox opened his very own gallery in Jackson Hole, Wyoming—an achievement that marks just the beginning of what’s to come. With groundbreaking projects on the horizon, he continues to push boundaries, create at the highest level, and bring electrifying energy to everything he touches. If you collect his work, you’re not just acquiring a piece of art—you’re stepping into a world of passion, vision, and relentless pursuit of greatness
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has always been rooted in genuine connection. I don’t just want to take a photograph—I want to understand the person or the place I’m photographing. I travel a lot, immersing myself in different cultures and environments, and what I’ve learned is that everyone has a story to tell. The more I listen, the deeper my work becomes.
By getting to know people from all walks of life and understanding their backgrounds, I’m able to create photographs that truly resonate with them. It’s not just about capturing a moment—it’s about telling a story that connects with the heart and soul of the viewer. And that’s where the real magic happens.
I don’t treat my clients as just buyers of art; they become a part of my journey. Every time I meet someone—whether they’re a collector, a subject in one of my photos, or someone who simply shares their story with me—I focus on building a relationship.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I always seek to show the behind the scenes work going into my art, sharing the voices and pasts of the subjects in each photo. Sharing these moments on social media captivates viewers and builds a following.
