We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kitty Norton. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kitty below.
Kitty, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Well, let me tell you about a moment in my life when I stood at a crossroads, a time when I had to step out in faith and take a risk. You see, there was a season when everything felt comfortable—safe, predictable, like I was walking a path that was already paved for me. But deep down, I felt a stirring, a whisper in my spirit that said, ‘There’s more for you. Don’t settle for the ordinary when the extraordinary is calling.’ It wasn’t about money or fame—it was about purpose, about trusting that God had planted a dream in my heart for a reason.
The risk? It was letting go of what I knew to chase what I couldn’t yet see. I had to leave behind the security of the familiar—a steady rhythm of life that felt good enough—and step into something uncertain. I won’t bore you with every detail, but imagine standing on the edge of a cliff, the wind blowing, your heart pounding, and knowing that jumping didn’t guarantee a soft landing. That was me. I had people counting on me, responsibilities to juggle, and yet, I couldn’t shake the feeling that staying still would be the real risk—missing out on what could be.
Why did I do it? Because I believe we’re called to live boldly, to trust that when we take a step, even a shaky one, there’s a greater plan at work. I’d been through storms before—times when I thought I’d never rise again—and every time, I saw how those challenges prepared me for something bigger. So I leapt. I poured my heart into a vision, into creating something that could bless others, something that reflected love and hope and joy.
And how did it turn out? Oh, let me tell you—it wasn’t perfect, and it wasn’t easy. There were days I wondered if I’d made a mistake. But I can stand here today and say it was worth it. That risk opened doors I couldn’t have imagined, brought people into my life who lifted me higher, and showed me that when you trust in something bigger than yourself, you don’t just survive—you thrive. It’s not about the outcome being a fairy tale; it’s about the growth, the journey, and knowing you’re right where you’re meant to be. So I encourage you—whatever risk you’re facing, big or small, take it. Step out. You’re stronger than you know, and there’s a beautiful story waiting on the other side.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Let me share a little bit about who I am and the journey that brought me here. I’m someone who believes in the power of dreams, in rising above life’s storms, and in using every gift we’re given to bless others. I stepped into this creative world—writing, storytelling, and shining a light on the beauty around us—because I felt a calling deep in my soul. It wasn’t a straight path; I’ve walked through valleys, faced moments where I could’ve given up, but I kept going, trusting that every step was building something meaningful. Today, through my work, I offer inspiration—whether it’s through words that lift your spirit, stories that spark joy, or insights that help you see the wonders in your own backyard. I solve the problem of feeling stuck or unseen by reminding people they’re enough, that their lives matter, and that there’s hope no matter the season. What sets me apart? It’s my heart—it’s real, it’s raw, and it’s rooted in love. I’m most proud of how I’ve turned pain into purpose, creating a legacy of encouragement. I want you, my friends, to know that my brand is about you—about celebrating life, chasing joy, and knowing that with faith and a little courage, you can do anything. You’re not just a follower; you’re part of a family destined for greatness!

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
In my view, society can lift up artists and creatives by recognizing that they’re dreamers with a divine purpose, carrying light into the world that we all need. It starts with encouragement—celebrating their courage to create, to step out in faith, and to share their gifts, even when the road feels uncertain. We can support them by giving them room to breathe, to flourish—whether that’s through opportunities to showcase their work, resources to keep going, or simply a kind word that says, ‘You’re seen, and you matter.’ A thriving creative ecosystem comes when we value their voices, when we invest in their visions, and when we build communities that cheer them on instead of tearing them down. It’s about believing in the power of what they do—how it heals, inspires, and connects us all. I say, let’s champion them like they’re planting seeds for a brighter tomorrow, because they are! When we do that, we’re not just supporting artists; we’re unlocking a wellspring of hope and beauty for everyone. That’s the kind of world I believe we’re meant to live in!

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Oh, absolutely—there’s a fire in my heart, a mission that keeps me moving forward on this creative journey! It’s all about spreading light, lifting spirits, and showing people that no matter where they are, there’s beauty and hope waiting to be uncovered. I feel called to inspire—to take the gifts I’ve been given, the stories I’ve lived, and the lessons I’ve learned, and weave them into something that touches lives. My goal? To help others see the wonder in their own stories, to encourage them to dream big, and to remind them that every step forward, no matter how small, is a victory. It’s not just about creating—it’s about connecting, about building a legacy of love and joy that echoes beyond me. I want everyone I reach to know they’re part of something bigger, that they’re destined for greatness, and that together, we can rise above any challenge. That’s the heartbeat of everything I do, and I believe it’s what I was put here to share!
