We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kitryn Marie a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Kitryn thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Too often the media represents innovation as something magical that only high-flying tech billionaires and upstarts engage in – but the truth is almost every business owner has to regularly innovate in small and big ways in order for their businesses to survive and thrive. Can you share a story that highlights something innovative you’ve done over the course of your career?
Using social media at its fullest capacity is imperative to gain audience appeal. Develop an ability to go live and/or video so customers, followers, and potential clients get a true glimpse into a person’s purpose with a clear insight into their mission.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Kitryn Marie. I reside in St. Louis Mo. I am an artist that teaches group painting lessons. I write for creative content and fictional purposes. I also instruct individuals teaching them how to use a variety of tools (creating a vision board, journaling, and video content creating) for personal growth, awareness of self and for those who want to find more purpose in their life for their highest good. I also instruct how to start a side hustle geared towards women who have a creative desire for more.
After losing my job as an event coordinator when the economy crashed in 2008, I needed to find ways to survive. Always being an artist, I resorted to my talents so that I could make some money to live. Spending a lifetime in food and beverage, I continued lending my hand where needed while I decided to pursue something that meant a little more to me personally.
It was only when I was diagnosed with an illness (non-life-threatening) in 2013 that I realized truly where my purpose was meant to be. It wasn’t so much about being sick as it was to decide to thrive toward things that had more meaning and clarity. Sharing a vision in regard to being intentional with my health and my own personal growth. Seeing that others needed inspiration for motivation and a way to get unstuck and live in a happier form of life using creative ingenuity and foresight on why things happen to any of us in this life. Choice or happenstance has reasoning behind it and what you do with that information is important when sharing the mission. Your story matters!
I am most proud always as I proclaim about my 3 children. Jason 37, Raechal 34, and Tyler almost 22. They are my best creative efforts. Work wise though, most likely I would like to say how I have developed my voice. My voice is a powerful tool. It instructs, it motivates, it makes people think and it makes people feel.
What sets me apart? You would have to ask the people that know me… LOL, I just do as I feel called to do. I can be entertaining, enlightening, informational, uplifting, spiritual, intuitive and even annoying at its best! I certainly at times make people cringe only because I make them have to think about character behavior.
My work or my brand, trust me you will walk away with an experience like no other. Book a class! You’ll see!
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
And I am glad you asked! Yes… the main goal (the big picture) is to own a small horse rescue. I want a place where a horse can be surrendered or I can rescue to be saved from neglect or slaughter so that I can rehabilitate them, make them feel safe, and or find a new loving home for them.
I want to be able to live and teach on my property and sell my line of merchandise that I hand create. Teaching painting lessons and offering coaching lessons for those that need to find their own purpose in a surrounding that is conducive not only to learning but to finding tranquility in mind.
Horses are magical and just to be in their presence is omni-awesome! That is a learning experience in itself!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Can we just say stubborn? Can we just call a spade a spade…INDEPENDENT AND I DON’T BACK DOWN or give up!
I had someone once tell me, “you know you just can’t live on Candy Cane lane,” I thought f..k.r watch me! LOL That same person years later said, “you know you’re so into yourself” I laughed so hard… and replied, “you are correct! That I am, while I’m over here Building an empire!”
The things people say when they are trying to knock a hard-working entrepreneur off the pedestal! I am amazed at the lack of mindset most have when people do not understand not everything is 9-5 and not everything needs to be represented by a weekly paycheck. Abundance flows through opportunity and if you are not carefully intent with purpose and do not have a clear picture of which way you want to see that end result, a person will never get there!
I see the destination just fine and the path, although a few obstacles, when I’ve said mountain move… get out the way! Ahhh big sigh! All fall down!
Divine timing… what is meant to be mine will not go past me! Promise!
