We recently connected with Kisha Lee Crawford and have shared our conversation below.
Kisha Lee, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
I have several stories and testimonials that all fall under the category of “heartwarming” when it comes to my work with women. In my healing practice, I’ve assisted many women in moving through the grief of losing loved ones, to lessening the guilt from miscarriages and abortions, as well as supporting them in fertility and pregnancy. One client in particular had gone through several rounds of in-vitro unsuccessfully. Using my intuitive gifts to read her energy levels, combined with Reiki treatments and acupressure, she was able to finally conceive not only one, but two, healthy babies.
Another client received psychic readings combined with energy and bodywork to help heal her grief from a previous miscarriage before finally getting pregnant. She was able to gain clarity around the miscarriage that helped her heal mentally and emotionally from the experience of her first pregnancy. As her mind and heart healed, so did her body. She eventually gave birth to a healthy baby girl, even though doctor’s were concerned about her trying to get pregnant later in life, and having other health concerns such as obesity and diabetes. Her irregular menses have been regular ever since.
A more recent client came to receive a massage and had just found out she was pregnant. I explained to her the indications and contraindications of energy and bodywork (i.e. massage and acupressure) while pregnant. I saw her monthly for pre-natal massage sessions to ease the aches and pains an expectant mother can sometimes experience. The week of her due date she came to me for her last massage before giving birth and asked if I could help her induce labor. I told I could try, but had past experience with working acupressure points on the feet through reflexology to successfully induce labor. She went into labor shortly after her session with me and is at home now with a beautiful baby boy.
It’s also been an honor to witness mentees who became initiated under me as a Usui Reiki Practitioners go forth to help other women heal their connection to their body, and their wombs i their own unique, purposeful ways.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Most know me as Kisha Lee, but many have come to know me as “The Psychic Yogi” from my time as a resident psychic at a popular, metaphysical bookstore in the metro Atlanta, GA area. Years before my employment there, I was a student taking Intuitive Development classes at a mystery school just down the hill. This bookstore was seen as the “castle on the hill” for me. I remember on several occasion imagining myself working there. Little did I know at the time, I wouldn’t serve in a traditional “employee” role.
Instead, I hosted a weekly women’s meditation in the art gallery, offering women guided meditation, sound therapy and psychic readings. During the meditation, I would read for an average of 15+ women. My gifts continued to empower me in reading everything from past lives, channeling messages from loved ones who had crossed over, business advice and even what I call “spirit babies”. Eventually, I was given the opportunity to become a resident psychic after reading for the store owner one day. I also provided Reiki services at the bookstore, but offered them at a private spa independently as well. It was at the spa where I was able to offer other holistic healing services such as massage, reflexology, acupressure, energy healings and readings as well.
I have been an licensed professional in the health and beauty industry for over 22 years total, but spent the last 12 as a full-time spiritual teacher and intuitive healer. Most of this time was at the bookstore, holding one of the longest running women’s circles there. I currently hold a state license as a massage and neuromuscular therapist, as well as certifications in reflexology, Reiki, yoga, trauma-informed therapy, pre-/post-natal massage and other healing arts. My recent educational pursuits are in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, while completing a 650-hour training program to become a Vita™ Method Certified Sex, Love and Relationship Coach. My major is Women’s Life Transitions, which focuses on helping women move through significant life moments such as miscarriages, abortions, divorce, and menopause, all while building an intimate connection with their bodies to give them the best sex, love and relationship experiences they desire. Since applying what I’ve learned thus far in Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine, plus healing my own traumas, I have healed my female body, now having pain-less and pain-free periods. I look forward to the expansion of my skill sets, in order to continue helping other women heal their minds, bodies, hearts and souls as well.
I feel like my abilities to maneuver between the higher realms of spirit and the physical in such a dynamic way makes my work effective and transformative. I am a bridge between Science, Sex and Spirituality.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think what helped me to build my reputation on the market is being a bi-racial woman of two, very strong lineages. I am half Korean and half African-American. At the time I became a resident psychic for a well-known local bookstore, I was the only woman of that ethnic background there. I believe growing up with an Asian mother who taught me so much of her culture and traditions gave me an edge, not only in understanding, but also in the application of practices like following the lunar calendar, setting up altars for deceased loved ones, herbalism and home remedies that connected us to Mother Nature, her cycles and seasons. For some, they see my cultural background as a solid foundation for who I am, how I live, and what I teach. Both the Asian and African cultures have lifestyle practices that honor the cycles and rhythms of nature. I am grateful to be the embodiment of both.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If I could go back in time, I would choose the same profession. I would have just started earlier! I would have paid more attention to the deeper meanings of my mother’s guidance, and asked her more questions. I would have started a meditation and yoga practice earlier, maybe getting certified in yoga teacher training (YTT) while in high school. Then after graduation, attend college to study and receive a degree in Chinese Medicine and/or Ayurveda. After college, I would have still became a massage therapist and Reiki Master Teacher. I absolutely love what I do, and how I am of service in this world.
