Kirsten , appreciate you joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

Growing up, my mum would often call me into the kitchen, assigning me small tasks to help with dinner and mainly to the roadside food business . At first, I found it challenging, even harsh, but she patiently guided me through every step. As time passed, I grew to love the process, and our kitchen sessions became special bonding moments.Years went by, and my mum passed on, but the gift she left me has become a cornerstone of my life. Cooking, which was once a chore, has evolved into a passion and even a brand that represents me.Everytime I cook, I’m reminded of my mum’s love and dedication. The aromas, flavors, and techniques she taught me transport me back to those kitchen moments, filling my heart with warmth and gratitude. May her soul rest easy.

I’m Kirsten Borketey, a passionate event caterer with a background in cooking and food business. Growing up, I helped my mum with her roadside food venture, which sparked my love for cooking and entrepreneurship.I’ve honed my skills through experience and dedication, eventually transitioning into event catering. I provide customized catering services for various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and parties, Training people,Food baskets and Birthday cakes .
My services include menu planning, food preparation, and event execution. I solve problems for clients by delivering delicious, high-quality food that meets their expectations and dietary requirements , another problem our birthday package gives ppl the platform to enjoy and celebrate their special days in grand style..
My unique blend of traditional flavors and modern twists, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction set me apart from others. I’m proud of building a reputation for reliability, creativity, and exceptional service.I’m proud of building a loyal client base and receiving positive feedback, I also train people interested in all I do at a fee and they go home with satisfied skills ,I’m passionate about creating memorable experiences through food and service.

Have you ever had to pivot?

Way back In nursing school where I had to miss class ( we had a quiz on that day ) for an event in another school because I felt it was a great opportunity to pitch and sell wel ! So I called my mother to help me out ! And she dd.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?

lol yes I will ! I do both anyways because I love doing the job as a midwife and also caterer .
