Kirby , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

Honestly, all the projects i’ve worked on have been so meaningful to me. I’m living a dream i’ve had since i was young! Working with brands like Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, and Ralph Lauren as a lgbtqia+ individual from a small town, has been so fulfilling and honoring

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My journey into the world of beauty began in 2016 when i attended Douglas J Aveda institute for cosmetology. I graduated, obtained my license and began working behind the chair! I quickly found myself enthralled in our spa, and a year later i was back at Aveda Institute for my esthetician license. After graduating from a second program i had the immediate opportunity to work with a very prestigious brand as a freelance makeup artist. I was traveling to local beauty stores, educating the staff on new products, and learning the ends and outs of this crazy industry. While my skills improved, i evolved into special events makeup, from doing proms and weddings i quickly gained an amazing clientele and was loving every step of the way. 2020 then happened, life had changed and i needed a new creative outlet, and HELLO SOCIAL MEDIA! I started posting my getting ready process and the people were hooked! Fast forward to 2024, i have gained over 100,000 followers and accumulated over 2 million likes! I’ve worked with billion dollar brands and have been given opportunities i never thought would be possible for someone like me. 12 year old kirby would be so proud of me and that’s what is most important to me.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I always use to wonder how to even begin social media, but i found the best key to success is CONSISTENCY. Find a schedule that works for you and STICK TO IT. Your audience will soon get on track with your schedule and will be expecting to see you!

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

I think the most rewarding aspect to being a creative is creating. making something come to life with your brain and two hands feels like magic. We underestimate ourselves so much!
