Today we’d like to introduce you to Kinjal Shah
Hi Kinjal, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my professional journey by joining my father’s business, which he established 25 years ago in India. Throughout my education and schooling, I had the opportunity to witness the company’s growth and evolution firsthand. After completing my education, I joined the business with a vision to expand into the North American market.
We made the big decision to start operating in Canada and the US about four or five years ago. We have since committed to expanding our footprint and building our brand in these markets. I have gained a great deal of knowledge about the industry and priceless insights from this experience, which has set us up for future growth and success.
Recently I have started my new venture, Verity Motions and we focus on offering our solutions for precise and complex motion control solutions. Whether you seek to optimize your manufacturing processes, elevate the performance of your robotic systems, or develop innovative solutions for motion control applications, our knowledge and experience are at your disposal.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course not! No one has it easy, and our journey was no exception. We embarked on our expansion just before the pandemic hit, which presented numerous challenges. Meeting and connecting with people during COVID-19 was incredibly difficult. Additionally, with our development team based in India, we faced significant hurdles related to travel and transportation due to the stringent regulations in place.
The emotional toll on everyone was substantial, and it was crucial to empathize with our team while also ensuring that deliverables were met. Only after the pandemic did things start to improve. Networking, supply chain management, and operations have now become more streamlined and efficient.
Furthermore, starting a business in a new location always comes with its own set of challenges. However, these experiences have taught us resilience and adaptability, which have been key to our continued growth and success.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5-10 years, the industry is expected to undergo significant transformations driven by advancements in technology, increasing automation, and evolving customer demands. We foresee smarter and more adaptive systems due to the increased integration of AI and machine learning. The Internet of Things (IoT) will continue to expand, thus improving decision-making and operational efficiency. Smart factories, equipped with advanced sensors, robotics, and AI, will become more prevalent.
Additionally, I believe sustainability and green manufacturing will also be crucial areas of focus, ensuring that industry growth aligns with environmental responsibility. Overall, the industry is headed towards a future characterized by greater automation, connectivity, and intelligence. Companies that embrace these trends and invest in innovative technologies will be well-positioned to thrive in this dynamic environment.
