Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to King Qreed. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
King Qreed, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Recently I just wrote a song named “Jonah” . In the Bible Jonah was a Prophet who was rebellious against God’s word. Jonah is not only my favorite book , He’s someone that I relate to. I wouldn’t call myself a Minister or Prophet, but I do believe I have a calling on my life to lead people through my music. The Song Jonah is most meaningful because it’s on a more personal and intimate level. It gets deep into my struggles, addictions and things that I’ve overcome. A lot of music today isn’t soul fulfilling or heart healing. I believe the best way to be understood is to be truthful and relatable. I was once someone in a dark place who found the light at the end of tunnel. Expressing my journey through this song is something that someone needs and or can relate too.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’ve been around music the majority of my life. I come from a family of musicians and song writers. That’s how I grew into music and being in the industry. I haven’t always had the most uplifting music, in fact some of it was explicit with no meaningful content. I believe once I got a true understanding of myself and what God wanted from me that’s when I got serious with my craft. Many people may know me as Social Media Influencer for Goli Gummy , Ambrosia Collective , and Fresh24 Collective. At the beginning of the pandemic I put a lot of my focus into my health shedding over 70 pounds! With consistency and work ethic I obtained partnerships with top fitness brands. I also started my own fitness/lifestyle brand “Fresh24 Collective” to empower those to stay focused and disciplined reminding people that everyday is a Fresh 24 Hours to be a better version of yourself. I’m most proud of being able to conquer my mind and master self discipline! I know who I am and I know my worth.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Before Instagram Reels were popping I was using hashtags. I would use as many relatable hashtags dealing with my content. A lot people are discovered from hashtags. People also follow hashtags. That’s how I found my barber. Hashtags are still important but nowadays but Reels are on every platform and taking over. People are now going viral overnight doing TikTok sound bites or dancing. Social Media is making it easy for creatives and small business owners to gain exposure.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Changing and Saving Lives is the mission that keeps me going. Just like plants need water and sunlight everyday. I have to write music everyday. I feel that it’s my mission to deliver a message. Whether I’m as Big as Michael Jackson or just a local artist I have to keep going. It’s my purpose and calling to heal souls through music.
