We recently connected with KING OUTLAW and have shared our conversation below.
Hi KING , thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
1% Better Everyday is a program and philosophy that I’ve used to not only elevate myself but those around me. In 2010 I was just beginning my career as a professional fighter with no prior experience in combat sports, and this mantra became a way of life. Often times we compare ourselves to others and where they are in their journey, instead of understanding that we are all on different paths. I created the 1% Better Everyday philosophy so that I could focus inward and out all energy into incremental improvements daily. Fast forward to today, and the mantra and mindset of 1% Better Everyday is used as a staple in personal development. Now as an artist, all of the music that I create, feeds that philosophy and puts all who follow into a WINNERS mindset.

KING , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My career has been one of constant evolution. It started with cage fighting, went into acting, and landed on music. Ultimately tying everything together. Whenever it was time for the new adventure, I took certain skills that I learned and attributes that I gained from the before and applied them. This is why my music reflects a spirit of overcoming. As people we are faced with obstacles in life, but before we can conquer those obstacles, we must first overcome ourselves. My music is a combination of nights under the lights in the cage, as well as the heat of the spotlight on television. 1% Better Everyday was always a part of the process, and now my music has become the soundtrack.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The Mission driving me, is seeing people chasing their dreams unapologetically, using 1% Better Everyday as the catalyst.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Being able to see how the music and mindset elevate the listener. Seeing the spark that they started with, turn into a roaring blaze because of your words. It’s an awesome thing to experience.
