Alright, King thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

I knew it young in grade school, i was always good with my hands, always fixing things around the house including electronics. Being a designer is all about construction, taking things apart or starting from scratch to make something cool. So I definitely wanted to always keep building

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Im king magik, i create and craft hand made goods from my luxury brand M A G I K ™ to leather accessories, art , furniture & more.as well design/creative Direct for companies.

I shoot photography when im not designing and flourish in innovation of all my arts.

I make the simple things in life better like creating the best feeling tshirt, which ultimately creates inspiration for my clientele to always feel good & go out and strive for more.

When you look good, you feel good!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Growing up , i did not have many role models, motivation from family etc only when it came to school work. But for many youth school work isn’t enough, I always wanted to just be an artist and my parents hated that lol. Growing up i was always a leader, motivating everyone around me to do more than the norm. I believe everyone has potential to be great at anything as long as they work towards it.

My big sister was my best friend and were one of the only supporters of anything i ever did. She passed away in 2005 at the age of 19! i was about 15 yrs old and shook me up mentally especially with how much she was accomplishing at that time. So i told myself i have to leave something behind, something that anyone can remember and cherish and always know they are worth something in their lifetime.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My mission is simple and its always been about motivating and creating opportunities and dreams for people like myself. The youth go ignored in so many communities and are some of the brightest kids we have that could make a great change to this world. So if its creating clothing, art , helping businesses succeed creatively , hosting creative events and giving the tools for folks to succeed in their daily lifetime. I feel like im leaving a good mark so far
