We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful King Lab3l. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with King below.
King , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of the toughest things about progressing in your creative career is that there are almost always unexpected problems that come up – problems that you often can’t read about in advance, can’t prepare for, etc. Have you had such and experience and if so, can you tell us the story of one of those unexpected problems you’ve encountered?
One of my biggest set backs have been from a few of my past relationships, it’s like every time I found myself wanting to step back from them their reaction was really extreme. This caused issues like losing money, a vehicle, my spot, and even my freedom temporarily. I never really bounced all the way back yet but what I did to just get back on the right course was just realize I’m the only one that’s going to make it happen for me.

King , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Well I first got into music honestly because of my brudda, I was always into sports but he just kept telling me to try it. I didn’t really get into it all the way till 2019, since then I never turned back I fell in love with the craft and actual realized I was good at write and making music. I also have a clothing brand called Egyptian Elegance that I want to merge with my artist merch in the near future. A lot of people ask me what sets me aside from other artist, I just believe it’s my sound and storytelling way of music I make. We all know of Artist that just make music for others but, I make music of my story and my life and with that make a connect with my fans so we can have a relating bond. I am the most proud of my discipline with my music, yeah I’ve had moments I’ve taken breaks but over all I always stayed focused and fluent with the time I put into my craft. I’ve been told by many and honestly just believe in myself all the way just to know if I have the opportunity I can make noise but most of all I’m not doing this for the fame, I’m doing this because I know I’m one in the family that’s suppose to be taking care and helping a lot of my family and friends out so I’m just really focused on opening a door so all mines can be good.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The success honestly, Simply cause it’s just not about me there’s things I’m trying to do for others, the ones that always had my bad when I been at my lowest and had nothing so I just feel like the goal keeping me driving forward is knowing this will all pay off one day.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
From my childhood till now it’s been a non stop battle from the drug abuse and physical abuse that took place around me. I started running away staying with friends at the age of 12 and it’s just always been couch surfing till 18 finally feeling like ima catch a break then getting sentenced to 11 years in prison. I did 8 years off that came home to a pandemic no support just me getting things going, then got into a relationship that seemed good but when I chose to walk away she to matters in her own hands to tell on me on some other shit and get my in jail lost money and just created so many more problems, but hey im still moving forward.
