Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to King David The Recruiter. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

King David the Recruiter , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

My most meaningful project is my upcoming album which will be my very first full length project.

This will be the most meaningful project as an artist due to the fact that I began as a musical artist in 1999. Through all the ups and downs ans 25 years later of writing, life experiences, etc 17 songs will be available for the world to hear.

King David the Recruiter , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

As a kid I always was an entertainer. During family gatherings all my relatives would want me to dance all the time. As an early teen I fell in love with making beats after an older cousin gave me a beat machine in the late 80’s early 90’s.

On 1995 experienced my first spiritual encounter after a cousin read the curses in Deuteronomy 28 to me. Not long after I wrote my first rap verse.

After giving my life to Christ in 1998 I wrote my first song and rapped it in Sunday morning church service. From there I linked with an old friend from the streets who began rapping and we formed a group called Sunz of War out of Minneapolis.

After about a year or so my partner gave up the rapping which left me as an solo artist.

Between that time till the scheduled release of my debut album 12/4/2024 is be chronicled in my upcoming debut album “Chronicles of David”.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I first began by default as a musical artist in 1999. Twenty-five years later I’m dropping my first album. Too many stories to pick just one. I shared pieces of stories in multiple songs.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I wish a knew about digital distribution and the importance of protecting your work through copyrighting. Basically the business side of music.
