Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kinadee Haley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Kinadee thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
This is a great question, when was the first time I knew that I wanted to pursue a career as a creator /artist? Honestly, now this current day and age. Art has always been one of those hobbies in the background for me since I was maybe 4. I was always drawing. Even throughout my teenage and adult life, I’m always doodling in class or at work or even painting on my down time.
Along with art, doing hair was a hobby that I have been doing since my first Kenya doll at age 6, retwisting peers locs in college, and giving quick cuts to the community and my family as well.
It’s the progression that I’ve made when I started to focus on my craft that made me realize that I can make a living from my hobbies. That’s always a great career risk to take, doing what you love.
I had a chance to tattoo at a shop recently and it made me more confident to pursue my happiness in work life balance.
Kinadee, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am most proud of the support and progression that I’ve made since I started here in Georgia in 2019.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Honestly, the most realist thing a supporter of the arts can do is promote the artist freely, encourage the artist and provide feedback. It’s up to the artist to grasp that process and use it to grow unlimitedly.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creator is the freedom and the time you spend whether if it’s all day or a few hours a day working on your craft to build your foundation for you and others if needed. That moment when you sit back and watch other expressions from your work and the times when you dissect your own work to better yourself. The reward at the end is the bigger picture. When you make an intellectual think and an empath feel, that’s the reward of being an artist knowing you touched the crowd.
