We recently connected with Kimberly Williams and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kimberly, thanks for joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
Sitting in a leather wing back office chair smelling the pine from the 100 year old wood flooring and paneling, I felt underwhelmed. I look outside my window daily to see the passersby miserably waltzing across the campus grounds. They seemed to have grown too familiar with the place and appeared to robotically move from building to building almost regretting each step. This day I had seen enough.
I quietly whispered to myself, “God, please don’t let me be like them. I don’t want this to be the end.” What I saw in them, I didn’t want for myself, being stuck or complacent because money doesn’t ensure the fulfillment of purpose. The first step to going from idea to execution was simple, I made a decision to change my current circumstances.
I went home that night thinking about all the experiences I’ve had in my life up to this point. It almost seemed unfair to be so cozy, comfortable and privileged. My experiences were also navigational tools for someone in similar situations, and they wouldn’t find their way if I was stuck behind this desk. I made a list of all I’ve overcome, mapped out the value it brings me as a leader to have had these experiences, and finally inventoried the skills and talents I bring into the corporate sector. Once I had a legitimate road-map, I allowed it to lead me to my new normal career: entrepreneurship.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One day, four and a half years ago, I was standing in a clients office mapping out their financial needs and staff assessments to assist them with a successful launch for a full two year pilot. I became extremely ill and had to be rushed home. I was too ill to drive myself. Once I got home I received a call that shattered my entire world. The pain I was feeling was in direct correlation to my closest brother being gunned down at work. I could literally feel his pain, in that present moment, I froze; weeks later my heart would shatter into pieces as I learned the details of what had taken place.
Due to the nature of the circumstances I moved away and left my network there, in the painful, intolerable past.
Once I overcame the initial shock of starting over in a new state, I began to do the work of learning the business culture in this part of the country. It was important to me that I understood exactly how I could add value in this larger more robust climate. I sought the proper licenses, worked for Non Profit Organizations to recognize the needs, and developed friendships with individuals who were in the sectors I belonged to.
One day, after dropping my son off at his Montessori, gleefully descending the stairs, I met his classmates mother. We exchanged pleasantries that sparked an inquiry about my business. There in the stairwell, I pitched my first client in this new space, I sent an invoice that afternoon and had strategy calls within a week. I’ve not looked back since, and I’ve learned a lot from supporting their need for emotional freedom from their business while assessing and hiring new staff to assist their exponential growth that leading to the launch of the Spring.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Social Media has been a space of control for me and leaning into my Authority and Power. I decided when I moved away to completely delete my entire social accounts. When I was ready, I started over from nothing. In that down town I overcame some of the harshest situations while building my business again. I learned lessons from multiple industries and cultures.
I used this information to study the companies that lead in my industry and the ways that they communicate versus how my clients receive information. My niche is mentally and emotionally heavy; this type of intellect has to be strategically and seemingly organically displayed.
I decided to be transparent about mindset, emotions, as well as the highs and lows of these things while relating it to what I train leaders to do. My social media content gets seen by over 55k individual timelines and its extremely rewarding knowing I didn’t cheat. I used the rules and knowledge of those I served and served them consistently.
