We recently connected with Kimberly Watson and have shared our conversation below.
Kimberly , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
I have spent the majority of my life working in the beauty industry, which is often thought of as being superficial… but, what I loved about it was how transformative something as simple as a lipstick could be.
Every day I had the opportunity to show someone that what makes them unique is also what makes them beautiful, and encourage them to embrace that uniqueness.
It made me eager to do more and do it on a deeper level.
I love empowering people, and helping them love themselves. I believe that loving who you are will change your whole life.
Kimberly , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I was raised by two AVON ladies, so I’ve always been beauty obsessed! I also have always been psychic and have been reading Tarot since my teens.
I had spent years dreaming about incorporating my love of beauty with my psychic gifts, and one day I learned about Lip Print Readings.
As soon as I learned about it, I knew that this was my chance to bring both passions to life.
I am a psychic reader and energy healer, but I am best known for Lip Print Readings.
I have my clients put on lipstick and kiss a piece of paper, and from their kisses, I can read all sorts of information about them.
I can see the dominant aspects of their personality, how they think and how that impacts their decisions, where they are emotionally and how that may impact their current reality, what kind of energy they are in, and so much more.
What these sessions do, is reconnect people to themselves. It helps them see themselves in a new way, and understand what might need shifting or releasing.
In all the work I do, I intend that my clients walk away feeling empowered, inspired, and informed about what kind of actions they can take to support their goals, dreams, and aspirations.
What makes me the most proud is how many people return to me. I love building a relationships with clients and receiving updates from them about how my work has helped them.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I believe that the most effective strategy for growing clientele is to focus on building relationships and creating repeat business.
Focus on the client in front of you, make sure you understand their needs, give them the best service you can provide in every interaction, and keep offering them ways to return.
Ask yourself constantly, what else can I offer that will serve the people I already know, and how can I offer it to them?
One of my favorite ways to do this is by sharing information, and tools I think they can benefit from. I do this in readings, on social media, and in email blasts.
I also love to give my existing clients early access to new services, or offerings before I release them to the general public.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
The best advice I can give on building an audience on social media is to be yourself, be original, and do it in a way that makes people feel something.
Social media has evolved to become a place where authenticity is celebrated and I think that is because it’s the only place where people can connect from all around the world and learn from each other, understand each other, and build community. It gives us all the opportunity to shine our unique light and be visible to the people who are out there looking for us.
Just keep showing up and maintain focus on communicating the heart of your brand, what you have to offer, and why you do it.
