Kimberly, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
In the midst of my tenure in beauty manufacturing, I identified a gap in the path of aspiring brand founders. This realization gave rise to KSVP Strategic, a comprehensive consulting solution addressing every facet of brand launch. Acknowledging the inefficiencies of outsourcing, we streamlined the timeline, enabling founders to launch their brand concurrently with production. Observing numerous founders outsourcing vital tasks such as trademark filing, logo/branding, website development, and the creation of social and marketing assets to various contractors, a eureka moment struck. Why not establish a centralized hub where the support they sought could consolidate every essential facet under one roof? When a client from the manufacturing corporation called me to receive additional support outside of the production world, I knew I needed to start this company.

I am deeply passionate about creating impactful brands and products. My journey has been marked by invaluable experiences with esteemed luxury brands such as Chanel, Moroccanoil, Dermalogica, Tacori, and HCT Group. In the realms of sales, marketing, cultivating customer relationships, and branding high-end luxury merchandise, I’ve cultivated profound knowledge and expertise.
Following years of immersion in diverse industries, I made the pivotal decision to embark on a new chapter – establishing my consulting company, KSVP Strategic. This venture was born out of a desire to assist and mentor emerging brand founders, guiding them through the intricate challenges of launching their own businesses.
What commenced as strategic advisory services for a select clientele has evolved into the dynamic entity known as Publik Label, a brand incubation firm. Here, my dedicated team and I breathe life into ideas, transforming them into tangible brands. Publik Label stands as a testament to the fusion of passion, experience, and a commitment to realizing the vision of aspiring brand founders.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Our predominant and highly successful approach to expanding our clientele hinges on the power of word of mouth and referrals. Personally dedicated to this endeavor, I make a weekly commitment to engage with 1-5 individuals. During these calls, I share insights into my ongoing projects, seek collaborative support, and inquire if they are aware of anyone seeking assistance with their business. I firmly believe that referrals serve as the foundation of our business.
My company operates discreetly, refraining from traditional advertising methods. This intentional choice stems from our frequent collaborations with high-profile clientele, including celebrities. We prefer to maintain a low profile, allowing the spotlight to shine on the brands themselves, fostering conversations that revolve around the products rather than the orchestrators behind them.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Fortuitously, the initiation of my consulting venture required minimal capital investment. However, as I envisioned the expansion into the brand incubator segment, the realization dawned that I couldn’t navigate this ambitious terrain solo. Recognizing the need for a cohesive team, I made a bold decision to take a calculated risk. Leveraging a portion of the earnings from the consulting arm, I dared to assemble a team of versatile and exceptionally talented individuals.
To manifest the comprehensive turnkey service promised to our clients and effectively manage their businesses, a strategic move was imperative. This led me to commit a substantial portion of my financial resources, including tapping into my entire retirement savings, to cover the salaries of this adept team. While it was undeniably a gamble, I harbor no regrets; investing in such skilled individuals has not only fortified our expertise but has also fostered an unwavering trust among our clients. This strategic allocation of resources stands as a testament to our commitment to delivering unparalleled value and expertise to those we serve.
