We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kimberly Pham a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kimberly, appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
My family has always been enthusiastic about Art and Creativity. My uncle was an architect who introduced me to sketching, my dad was an Electrical Engineer but he always encouraged my artistic interests. And my mother is a Nail Technician, I grew up watching her draw designs.
I’ve been blessed with a family that loves my creative spark. So I’ve always known I loved Art.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a UGC Creator on Instagram. Contrary to popular belief, I’m not an influencer. I make content using products, wearing products, or product placement for brands as needed to their image.
I started as a freelance model in 2018, and diverted to UGC during the pandemic quarantine when I needed something to release creativity without having to leave my home.
And now, I’ve made so many amazing connections and memories with brands I love. As well as given my closest friends and family my PR.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect is being able to share my experiences and favorite products with my friends and family.
For example, my mother will never have to buy her own undergarments ever again.
My fiancé gets to benefit from shoes that will help improve his back pain while he works.
And I’m so grateful to be able to share any snacks or lifestyle items with my dad, brother and sister in laws.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
I think a lot of people believe that us Creatives make a large income from Content Creation. But in reality, most of us have many other forms of income.
And that’s why it’s so so so important to like a photo or comment under it. Or share it to a friend.
