We recently connected with Kimberly Mejia Palacios and have shared our conversation below.

Kimberly, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

Events4Christ was born from a passion to gather friends or even strangers together for a great time in the Lord. When I wasn’t living for God, I was a party promoter and loved gathering people to have a “good time”. But that included partying, smoking, and just a whole lot of shenanigans that didn’t please God. The Bible talks about us his children being predestined. When we talk about predestination in the Bible, it means that God has eternally chosen those whom he intends to save. Everyone has a unique quality about them that marks them apart from others. I believe wholeheartedly that mine is to bring people together for whatever the case may be. We each have a gift that is in its nature effortless but at the same time crafted with care, so one has to unravel slowly. I want to create a space with people who don’t know Christ can feel comfortable and for Christians to keep growing. I knew this would work because us as youth have many struggles and are in need of spaces that would help us get closer to Christ. Especially in NYC, it is hard finding spaces that offer a mix of biblical and fun in one. I definitely solved a problem that no one else was solving. I offer a variety of events from seasonal events to special curated events that might spark the youth interest as well as pleasing God. Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I’m Kimberly and I have been walking with God for almost 4 years. I had officially created Events4Christ back in November 2024. I had started my first small events with my best friend, Gabrielle Gyampoh (shoutout to my biggest hype girl). And from there, I knew I wanted to create and build on something bigger. My last event was a success by the Grace of God. I hosted an event titled Winter Fest. It consisted of inviting upcoming Christian artists to perform and minister to others through their gifts. I had a Christian Dj on the set, DJ Pablo. I also had artists such as Sharai, Mica, Hope & her band, Richard, Jomar & Jeremiah. Having them by my side played a huge role in this event being successful because I am nothing without my community. I’m very big on networking and having others shine with me. If anything, let me hide so that those around me can shine. I’m really grateful to have gotten the opportunity to create a space for others to grow within themselves and even for myself. I got the space to actually depend on God and to see myself for how He sees me. Many times, we’ll come across doubtful feelings but the best way to overcome that is by pushing forth even in the face of not knowing what’s coming next. This is where my support system comes in. My sisters Gabby, Becky, Wylerin and Sa’Maya don’t miss a beat in making sure I am level-headed to carry forth with tasks that demand my attention to the fullest. I’m on a journey to rebuilding unity again. The more united we are as people, the faster we can make a change/impact.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I built my audience on social media by being myself. Authencity is the true secret to being great anywhere you go. Many times, you’ll find people trying to copy others “strategies” when all in all The Lord made us all unique. So, what works for me won’t work for you. And what works for you won’t work for me.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?

BE ORGANZED. PLAN AHEAD. Write every little thing down. And execute it. Be an example. People follow what they deem worthy of being followed.
