We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kimberly LaForte. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kimberly below.
Alright, Kimberly thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you share a customer success story with us?
One of my favorite client success stories is about Jessica, who came to one of my Vocal Honey™ workshops feeling deeply disconnected from her voice. She was hesitant to even attend—unsure what she’d say, uncertain if she belonged—but something inside her said “Go.” During the workshop, she stood up, shaky and nervous, and when she spoke, something shifted. She reconnected to a sense of confidence, joy, and power that she hadn’t felt in years. That moment sparked a deeper transformation. Jessica went on to join my 4-month Vocal Honey™ Coaching container, where I guided her through a nervous system–based speaking methodology. We helped her regulate the sensations that used to make her freeze, reconnect to the energy of her voice, rewrite the subconscious stories that made her play small, and practice speaking with conviction in real-world situations. Within weeks, she was speaking up more in her 15-year relationship, scheduling a meeting with her boss to ask for a raise, and launching her business — including doing her first vendor event. She told me, “I feel 100x more confident,” and called the work “life-altering.” To witness her reclaim her voice in both her personal and professional life reminded me that voice work isn’t just about public speaking — it’s about giving women back their power where it matters most.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Kimberly LaForte, and I help leaders, entrepreneurs, and speakers reclaim their voice and embody a bold, magnetic presence—in business, on stage, and in life.
My journey into this work is anything but traditional. I started in academia, researching the brain through fMRI studies and earning degrees in Human Computer Interaction and Psychology. From there, I transitioned into the tech world as a UX designer and researcher, fascinated by the intersection of behavior, perception, and experience. But even with all that data and design, something was missing.
I always knew that the voice was more than sound—it’s energy, identity, and impact. And when I began studying Eastern philosophy and somatics over 20 years ago, I discovered how the body, the breath, and the nervous system hold the key to fully expressed leadership. I went on to open an award-winning yoga center and eventually merged all of my knowledge—neuroscience, psychology, somatics, and spirituality—into what is now my signature framework.
Today, I run a soul-led company that supports clients through immersive memberships, private coaching, corporate training, and in-person retreats. I’ve taught my Vocal Positioning System at a Fortune 100 company and work with everyone from rising entrepreneurs to seasoned executives.
What sets me apart is that I don’t teach people how to perform confidence—I teach them how to embody it. I help people regulate their nervous systems so they can stay expanded in the moments that matter most—when there’s more visibility, more money, more pressure, or more eyes on them.
Most of all, I want people to know this: Your voice is your greatest asset. It’s not just how you speak—it’s how you feel when you speak. When you align your voice with your values, your energy, and your mission, everything begins to shift—your business, your relationships, your leadership, your life.
I’m most proud of watching my clients step onto stages (literal and metaphorical) with clarity, calm, and conviction. There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone trust their voice again.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe reputation is built in the quiet moments when no one’s watching—how you treat someone after class, how present you are in a conversation, how much care you bring to your work. When I ran my yoga studio over a decade ago, I had no idea that the energy I poured into creating a welcoming, transformative space would ripple into my future. But it has. People still come up to me and say, “I’ll never forget how you made me feel.”
Being a genuinely kind, grounded person isn’t just a feel-good motto—it’s a long-game strategy. My past self, who always led with integrity, presence, and generosity, has gifted my present self a business built on trust and word-of-mouth. I’ve been invited to keynote, speak on top podcasts, and step into major opportunities because of the way I showed up years ago.
Your reputation isn’t just what people say about you—it’s how they felt in your presence. And in a noisy world, that resonance cuts through everything. So I remind people: be good to others now, because your future self will depend on it.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I believe that brand loyalty isn’t earned through flashy funnels—it’s earned through heart-centered connection. I take time to voice note almost everyone. Whether someone just followed me, attended a talk, or engaged with my content, I thank them personally. I acknowledge their presence. I make them feel seen. And in a world of automation, that kind of intimacy stands out.
For my private clients, I go even deeper. I’ve sent flowers after major wins or milestones. I celebrate their breakthroughs by sharing them (with permission) on my Instagram stories—because their victory is my victory. I want them to feel like we’re in it together. It’s not just about delivering value; it’s about creating an experience of being truly supported.
I also personally invite people to in-person events or workshops that feel aligned with their growth. When someone chooses to be in my world, I don’t take that lightly. My clients often say they’ve never felt more held, more witnessed, or more empowered—and that’s what keeps them coming back. Loyalty, for me, is built moment by moment, through real human connection and celebration.
