We recently connected with Kimberly Hand and have shared our conversation below.
Kimberly , we appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer get an amazing result through their work with you.
I have a client who runs a personal training business out of the basement of her home. When I first started working with her she was utilizing only half of the basement space with gym equipment and the other half was a collection of odds and ends and furniture that had no other place in her home. After doing a complete walkthrough of her home and the space where she generates an income we spoke in great detail about her goals for her business and her life. She shared that she really longed to expand her business, to accommodate more clients and to sell products that supported her clients in their fitness journey. We came up with a plan to eliminate all of the items in the basement that didn’t serve a purpose in her business. In a matter of days she had doubled the usable size of her gym where she immediately accommodated larger groups of clients working out at one time, she added 1 amazing fitness machine, and a piece of furniture where she could display her fitness bands and other sale items. I also urged her to hang some beautiful photographs of herself working out on the walls. Together we transformed her space into a really amazing gym space that is generating more income than ever before. It is a space that she is very proud of! The energy in the basement has soared and her business is thriving! Success stories like these are what I am most proud of in my business!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
In many ways I have been intuitively practicing Feng Shui principles my entire life. When I was a little girl I would stay up late eliminating clutter from my closets and rearranging my bedroom furniture. I loved restoring balance, improving energy flow and raising the vibe of my space. When I graduated from college I pursued my real estate license at the age of 24. I have always loved spending time in other people’s homes observing how they live and studying how someone makes a house, a home. I am also a serial remodeler with numerous projects of my own that have been completed over the last 10 years.
I love helping people discover their true potential through the spaces that they spend the most time in. I have seen tremendous transformations within my clients once they commit to making changes. Together we establish intentions, activate them throughout the home and then work on manifesting these intentions every day. When I work with someone, I go on a journey with them. I gently guide them to release items that no longer serve them in the vision they have for their future selves. It’s important for my clients to envision who they want to be, not only where they are right now. I work with the new vision for their life. What would the new and improved person want to wear and be surrounded by? Does their workspace improve their productivity? Does their bedroom promote intimacy? The home is a vessel to support our goals and it is a place where we can be completely at ease and relaxed. It is the place where we heal ourselves and it is important that our homes reflect these intentions.
The process of working with me begins with an in-depth questionnaire where I learn about your space, what you love about it and what you don’t like. I also learn about your goals and which areas of your life you are willing to manifest greater possibilities. I begin the consultation portion of my services which starts with a walkthrough of the space either in-person or virtually. From there, I offer help with de-cluttering spaces, staging for the sale of real estate, designing wellness spaces, and styling with intention to create an uplifted and supportive environment. I work with clients who are beginning a new phase of their life and their home needs to recalibrate with them. I work with people who are running businesses out of their homes as well as business owners in various fields including retail spaces. My goal is to inspire creativity, wellness, healing, organization, positive energy flow and function throughout the home or business.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I have learned the meaning of resilience these last couple of years. I found myself dealing with some health challenges in the aftermath of some traumatic events that I have experienced in my life. I was searching for answers, seeing many different doctors and trying many self healing techniques. The healing journey never ends but I have found myself in a really content and grateful place in my life. I also realized while doing some important self work that everyone is healing from something. We all have inner wounds that we are working with . . . living with. I bring some of my healing journey to each client. I am always thinking about the choices we make for our homes and if that will aid in my client’s healing. Our homes are extensions of our energy field so it is extremely important to take inventory of what we choose to keep around us.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
My biggest pivot in life was becoming a mother. Before becoming a mom, I had a career in real estate, I was in advertising sales and I am a former Miami Dolphins Cheerleader. My life was very much on the go and very exciting. When I had my son life slowed down in a big and beautiful way. If all I did was hold him while he napped all day then that is what I did most days when he was very little. I didn’t worry about productivity, or work or anything – just him! When my son started school is when I started to re-connect to my personal and professional passions. At that time I felt I had more space in my life to pursue helping people and sharing my gifts. That is when my business was born!
