We recently connected with Kimberly Fisher and have shared our conversation below.
Kimberly, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
My story dates back to 2008 when I was working in the wine business and working for a large distributor running their fine wine division, when I started to feel ill. I went to multiple doctors, had many tests run and all of it could not figure out what was wrong. My primary doctor said I was having an appendicitis. My girlfriend who was enrolled in the Ayurvedic school where I lived, suggested I see an Ayurvedic Energy Healer and maybe he could help lend some advice. In meeting with him, he suggested I go back to my doctor and get a scan done of my liver.
I went on to get the tests run and shortly after the results came back, I was sent to the cancer center in Milwaukee, WI where I needed to have surgery on my liver. It was then, during the surgery, I had this amazing experience of connecting to spirit, connecting to the animal kingdom. While in surgery for 8 hours, I went on to have multiple conversations (of course this was all done while being knocked out for surgery) and I had an amazing visit by an elephant and a razor back gorilla. I could feel the air of her trunk and feel it tickling my arm and the message was incredibly clear that I will be needed to work with the animals and their humans. The eyes of the razor back gorilla were so distinct, as it felt like it was piercing into my soul. Without him saying too much, I could feel his energy and his comfort along with knowing he will be one of my helpers when I started in this profession.
It was from that surgery, that incident of working through liver cancer, I knew I wasn’t going to be in the Wine Business the rest of my career, and I became involved with Energy Healing for Pets and People. From 2010-2015 started taking classes, got involved in the Ayurvedic School, worked with multiple Shamans, Healers and in 2015, took my skills to the street part time. Then in 2017, took my business full time and have moved around a bit from state to state. My focus in my practice is the healing of both pets and people through intuitive readings, animal communication and energy healing for both.
Kimberly, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am including what I just wrote in the last response with additional details after.

Then in 2017, took my business full time and have moved around a bit from state to state. My focus in my practice is the healing of both pets and people through intuitive readings, animal communication and energy healing for both.
The types of services I offer include: Reiki, Energy Healing, Acupressure, Intuitive Readings, Scalar Wave, Meditation, Mantras, Medicinal Aromatherapy, Flower Essence Therapy, Animal Communication and being a voice from the animal kingdom. What I mean from that is whenever we do a session with both people and with animals, a spirit animal usually shows themselves and we can look up what the meaning of this animal is. Sometimes they give a message, but often time, having us look up the meaning on line or from a book, it almost always is in alignment for what the session was designed for and what someone, some animal is working on. It is an extra input to learn from the session.
What sets me apart is in a session for either pets or people, it is a whole system approach. When someone comes to me for healing session, I can provide the healing, offer insights from the spirit kingdom, give recommendations after the session with particular foods, qi-gong, mantras, meditation, suggestions to help them continue on their healing and learning journey.
When working with animals, it goes way above being just an Energy Healer. In a session here, I am able to connect with the animal and express their needs and describe what I am feeling and seeing. In addition, healing takes place, intuitive readings, communicating and it doesn’t end there. After a session, I send out a recap with ideas of foods, supplements, mantras, meditation and if the animal is approaching end of life, I created a compassionate end of life kit complete with a booklet to help navigate during their aging years, and after their animal goes on to rebirth. (AKA: crossing over the rainbow bridge)
What’s new this year, is I will be a Mobile Energy Healer, where I can travel to ones home to work on them and their animal and if we are doing a session remote, that too is like being mobile. :)
What I am most proud of is, hearing back from my clients that they have a sense of clarity and balance. When working with the owner and their animals, they feel after a session, a different connection with their animal. A sense of closeness, an understanding and willingness to learn more together and grow. They are open to learning more and growing together.
What you should know about my work: I work from a heart centered space and work for the highest good of all involved. I work with the highest intention and only allow good to be part of the session. The body is seen as a network of energy pathways, a living constant flow and my aim is to help the channels flow in the healing and give insight on how to make it so
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
In my profession of an Energy Healer for pets and people, I believe there are a few multiple tools that can be incredibly helpful to grow one’s practice as well as their knowledge.
1. Knowledge of the anatomy and systems of a body. Understanding organs, bones, tissues, nerves, you start to understand how systems of the body work, and as you work along with your client or animal, having this knowledge will help you discern where there might be blockages, stagnant energy or things to consider looking at while working under the care of a doctor or vet.
2. Practice, get as much experience and continue to get experience.
3. Ask questions and learn from others. Don’t always copy, but make it your own, in your own words, so it is easily communicated with your clients
Have you ever had to pivot?
It was in 2017, I was approaching what I now know was the end of my career in the wine business when I had an important life tragedy happen to myself. This tragedy, let me lifeless, emotionally empty and hit me hard to look at my career and what I really wanted to do. In addition, when this life change happened for me, by 10 year old yellow lab, laid by my side and became lifeless too. I had to rush her to the emergency room, where she stayed there for 3 days not sure if she would be coming back to me. They had told me she had a very rare tick disease, but I knew she was taking on my heartache.
On day 3 in the vet hospital, I told her I would get my life back in order if she decided to stay, and I would work with her diligently to learn whatever else we needed to together with her direction. It was on day 4, she got up, was able to stand to go to the bathroom and I was able to take her home to work together for 1 more year. I quit my job in the wine business of over 25 years and worked on building my practice of working with humans and animals. It was through her, I call her my little Shaman dog, where she helped me grow my skills with animals and what their needs are, and what they may want to have. As I became dedicated to her, I was able to hear more, and learn along the way.
