Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kimberly Fadul. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kimberly, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
One of the most meaningful projects I’ve worked on so far was my first co-star role on Amazon Prime’s Modern Love. Not only was it my first significant credit, but it was also an invaluable learning experience. Although I had been on several sets before booking this role, stepping in front of the camera in such a capacity was a whole new challenge. There was a sense of respect that came with the responsibility of my role, something I hadn’t fully experienced until then on a major production.
The most memorable part of the experience came when I arrived fully prepared and off-book, only for production to hand me a brand-new scene just five minutes before filming. The rush of quickly learning new sides was exhilarating, and it gave me a glimpse into the reality of having entire scenes rewritten on major network shows. When you’re handed new sides, something completely different than you had prepared the night before it scares you but you have to get the job done and that’s exactly what I did. Being on that set helped solidify for me that I am capable and this career isn’t as out of reach as some people make it seem. My first major set experience wasn’t without its challenges, but it taught me countless lessons and left me even more driven for what’s to come in my career.

Kimberly, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve been creating from a very young age, starting with stage productions at my local theater and school. My passion for the craft eventually led me to Los Angeles, where I spent several years pursuing both my degree in theater and my acting career in the heart of the entertainment industry.
The work I do is deeply rooted in my love for my heritage and the challenges of growing up in an immigrant household. What sets me apart as an artist is my passion for telling stories that resonate with children of immigrants, first-generation Americans, and others whose voices are often overlooked. I’m driven to bring to light the stories that are missing from mainstream media.
When I’m not acting, I focus on writing, preparing clients for self-tapes and auditions, and producing my own feature-length film. One of my proudest achievements so far has been writing, producing, and staging my one-person show, which explored the growing pains of being the first daughter in an immigrant family and the societal and familial pressures that come with it.
Now that I’ve returned to my hometown in New York, I’m excited to expand my resume and connect with other creatives who are passionate about collaborating on projects that tell important, underrepresented stories.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The driving force behind my creative journey is representation—specifically, what it means to me personally. I want young girls to watch what I do on screen and feel seen, to believe that they, too, can achieve their dreams. My passion for this cause comes from my own experience growing up. The actors I looked up to were all white, and the movies I loved rarely included Latinos, Black people, or any real diversity, despite the fact that these were the very communities I lived in. I didn’t feel like America was being portrayed in its full, rich, and diverse beauty.
My goal is for young Latinas to see me on screen and know that they, too, can succeed, even when the world around them might make it harder. I want them to feel empowered and inspired, no matter what challenges they face.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
In my opinion, society can play a key role in supporting the arts by funding more programs that benefit not only creatives but the community as a whole. Arts programming offers something for everyone—it keeps kids engaged, provides entertainment through live performances, and even helps older generations stay mentally active. When people invest in the arts, they stay out of trouble, build empathy, and connect with others in meaningful ways. The positive impact of the arts extends far beyond the creative community; it strengthens the fabric of society as a whole.
