We recently connected with Kimberly Ely and have shared our conversation below.
Kimberly , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
At The Studio in Chester Springs, we strive to bring people together, to share meaningful experiences and promote inspiration.
It is my life’s passion to help others feel better about themselves, their lives, and the world around us. Through intentional, purpose-driven workshops and classes, this company welcomes people of all kinds to feel great in their skin. A commitment to wellness mindset affects everyone, whether someone takes a class with us or merely comes into contact with someone who has. We love being a part of that.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I worked for years as a formal educator in private and public schools. When I left my career to become a mother, I struggled to feel great in my own skin. I was growing and changing and hardly recognized myself. More than anything, I craved opportunities to make new connections and learn how to feel great again. I started to learn the best way to do that was to help others feel great as well.
My husband and I built a studio space that seemed perfect for yoga and meditation practice, but the space quickly became ideal for larger workshops and classes that would offer opportunities for other practitioners to spread their knowledge, expertise, and joy. Since starting the business, we’ve worked to schedule, market, and offer a variety of wellness-minded activities that encourage peace, joy, and great vibes.
Our space is unique because it runs like a boutique shop, bringing a unique experience to the neighborhood, adding a personal touch with each new experience offered. I’m most proud that I can help to showcase the incredible talents and gifts of so many presenters, vendors, and practitioners. Our clients learn from an incredible group of people. They figure out how to harness great learning so they can feel amazing in their bodies, at peace in their minds, and encouraged for the bright futures ahead.
I would love potential clients to know that our space is all about great experiences. We cater to the interests and intrigues of our present client base, bringing opportunities right into the neighborhood.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I did not grow up thinking I was a “business person.” I don’t think of myself as a “math person,” either. I don’t think in numbers or expenses or bottom lines. But I’ve had to change hats, assume new ones, and push myself in order to make the business adaptable and relevant. We’ve tried different kinds of workshop offerings. We’ve brought in new presenters. We’ve tried various vendors. We’ve restructured pricing and marketing and all kinds of strategies to help build up the business. I’ve learned that failure is a silly word. We don’t have to view mistakes, setbacks, or stumbles as failures. They’re merely stepping stones. Everything we try at The Studio is an opportunity to learn or grow. If something doesn’t work, we learn. If something does work, we grow. Thinking in this resilient way has kept us afloat.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Great new clients have been word-of-mouth friends-of-friends. Facebook targeted marketing, print ads, mailers, and the like have helped as well.
