We were lucky to catch up with Kim Taylor recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kim, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
I am the Team Lead of the Kim Taylor Real Estate Group, servicing the Fort Worth side of the Metroplex. One thing my team and I do differently, is we are a Spirit led group of Realtors. Nothing in the market, whether you are buying or selling, can be controlled. I learned early on to let the Big Man upstairs be the driver of the bus…this takes a huge amount of pressure off of me. When one door closes, another one opens. We all pray for each of our buyers and sellers, believing that timing is everything. We try to take the first day of every month to fast and pray.

Kim, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I homeschooled my 4 kids for 9 years before jumping into the corporate world again. My husband and I both worked in oil and gas (he was a Petroleum Landman for 15 years) when I started landwork/admin at a local Ft Worth company. In December 2015 when we started seeing closed door meetings again, he said I should get my Real Estate license. I said “OK” and the next thing I knew I was taking classes! I joined JP & Associates REALTORS in October 2018 which was the best decision ever. Large company, pushing me to my limits, where I grew and blossomed. I climbed to the top of the leader board right off the bat at my Southlake office and by the following October, I was ready to start a team. A dream team! I have had the best team members EVER. They have come and they have gone, but it is my job to train them. Train them to be the best agents they can be. My favorite quote…”A good leader isn’t defined by how many followers you have, but by how many leaders you create.” Thank you to our CEO, Mark Johnson for constantly pouring into us.
How did you build your audience on social media?
First and foremost…you have to be busy on social media. Whether you are or not, you have to look busy. Even though I have lived in Trophy Club/Roanoke 26 years, it is still super important to activate all social accounts flooded with real estate activities. Whether it’s doing a facebook live at a model home or scheduling content for the month, it is crucial to your business. You get out what you put in. The business does not just come to you! One thing I did this year was join Amber Joy’s Influential Agent coaching program. Her and her husband live here in the Metroplex and they teach Realtors how to amp up their social media/past client reach! Check them out! https://linktr.ee/influentialagent

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Another amazing investing I started a few years ago was the American Lifestyle magazines by Reminder Media. It is a branded magazine with my photo on the front, a cute little recipe card in the middle, fun articles, and a lot more! This is a monthly magazine I send to all of my past clients!
