We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kim Easley Williams. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kim below.
Kim, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea.
My first quest of entrepreneurship was a children’s boutique (girls to be specific). I specifically catered to little girls because I felt that providing “all the frills” of little girl clothing was my niche. I have always loved “glitz, glam, and all things fashion” and indirectly have always had my hand in it from embellishing clothing, refurbishing vintage pieces for myself, to providing styling tips.
However, it didn’t perform as well as I would have liked it to so I closed the business. Honestly, COVID19 played a huge part in the closing, as well as I didn’t do enough research to combat the lows I experienced to sustain the business.
After closing I continued to provide my services of personal shopping and embellished pieces for a few clients. The conversation of owning a women boutique has always been a topic of discussion with various of people but honestly at first, I was totally against it for various reasons, the biggest being I knew so many people that played in the same space.
I prayed and pondered over the idea for months, consulted with some key people whom I felt input was very valuable and decided to leap back into the entrepreneur space again, but this time would be different, I knew I had to go all in to be successful.
I created a tangible plan to follow, rolled up my sleeves, and got to work with steps that included….
Researching of vendors, trends, and styles
Meeting with branding curators for marketing tips, business logos, understanding social media analytics, etc.
I surveyed women with different body types and sizes, different economic status, and different professions, to ask them what types of clothing they would purchase for the many facets of their lives.
My daughter and I visited the fashion district in L.A. and the Atlanta Women’s Expo to meet vendors face to face, to view the quality of their merchandise, and to build a professional relationship that would assist me in meeting the needs of my clients.
The next 2-3 months was hard work but rewarding work to prepare to launch.
Figuring out branding, marketing, website design, inaugural pieces for grand opening, photographers, pricing, etc. to ensure the launching would be successful.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a driven, focused, and forward thinking individual who consistently propel toward my goals daily. I have a lot of moving parts that I juggle daily therefore I lean a lot on my faith to get me through each day. I trust in “that voice” and not necessary the voice of others for direction and guidance. Each day is faced with a different obstacle and it’s not enough to be inspired to do a thing, I must follow through and push through to complete ALL THINGS I put your hands to do!
I am the CEO of So HoneeB, a company that was created to influence and ignite the inner CONFIDENCE that lives inside every woman! John Maxwell is my absolute favorite Author, and you can always find me either with a book of his in my hand or me listening to one of his books on audible. However, there are two books he pinned I visit often.
My favorite quote from Mr. Maxwell is quoted in How Successful People Win…. “Don’t let what you know make you think that you know it all” this quote has challenged me to continue to be a student and to remain excited about learning new leadership tips and ques to continue to feed my passion for the subject.
Winning isn’t everything but learning is – John Maxwell
