We were lucky to catch up with Kim Combs recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kim, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My mission is to create a prayer force across nations, bringing the power of prayer back into the church and back into the home. This mission began in October of 2019, when I enrolled in a program to hone in on my purpose. After a three month program it was confirmed that I am a here to shine bright to bring about restoration through coaching, speaking, writing and prayer. I could barely sleep January 31st, 2020 as I felt ready to serve a younger me, a working mom who knows there is a God but wants to intimately know Him and His heart. I woke up the next day, the first day of February, with ten new connections, Pastors, Missionairies, and Ministers, all men of faith in the countries of Africa, India and Pakistan. This was very strange. I had been posting scripture for a few years now, and sharing my love of the Lord online, perhaps that was what drew them to me. The following day there were twenty connections, then the next forty, and this multiplication continued the entire month of February until I could no longer accept any friend requests. As this whole process was going on I was asking for guidance as to what was going on and why me. The Lord told me He was going to use me to help make Him real to others through the love of Christ. I had no idea what all that meant at the time, but I knew I was supposed to say YES to Him and so I did. Fast forward, two years and Warriors in Christ is in full swing. Our Facebook group is all about training up Prayer Warriors, standing on His word and His truths about us and who we are in Him. And so, the Warrior ONE Movement began.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’m Kim Combs, the co-founder and co-creator of Bright Spots, The Warrior ONE Movement and Train Your Brain Coaching. I have been in the business world for three decades. I have helped others achieve fitness / wellness goals, business, sales and marketing objectives, and spiritual goals. I have worked with businesses across the country, large and small, children of all ages, and athletes. I stepped out of my last corporate adventure at Pandora Media, three years ago to launch my own company. After many years of helping others, I knew there was more and I could help so many more. I had no idea what that would look like, but I was saying YES to doing so. I stepped out and formed Bright Spots LLC.
At Bright Spots, we help tap into the Warrior within to bring about restoration in individuals and groups minds, body, spirit and soul. I am an international best-selling author, with Voices of the 21st Century Conscious Caring Women Who Make A Difference. I have a group on Facebook called Warriors in Christ, which is tied to a prayer movement where the Lord’s word and His truths encourage us and strengthen us through prayer. I have a program geared towards coaches and athletes to work on our mindset, determining where we are, where we want to be mentally and how to get there and stay there. I also speak and teach to groups of all sizes large and small, principles on mental agility, taking care of our bodies, spirituality and connecting with our Father in heaven and ministering conferences with my Warriors in Christ team. Lastly, we fundraise for various needs across Africa, Pakistan and India.
At the end of the day, I want to leave each and every person, engagement, opportunity better than I found it.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My creative journey is driven by my want to fullfill my life’s purpose. I am driven to know our Creator more, come to know myself more and the reason He put me here. I believe we each have a unique purpose for being here, one that only we can complete. I want to make certain in my time here I complete that mission.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Everyday. As a creative person. you are always second guessing yourself and your taleounts. Each and every day is a new adventure, a new challenge. Take last week for example. That was a week filled with firsts, my first Mindset Group Coaching with a group of actors and actresses I didn’t have any connection with. Creating instant connections, detecting what brought them to the training and how could I help them get the most out of our hour together was new for me. Even in the middle of the training, which I have used on not only myself for years, but many others in my life, I was doubting I could teach them. I had to quickly capture my thoughts and remind myself I can do this. Later that week I was also invited to my very first Summit, giving a twenty-five minute talk. As I prepared many different ways that week, I was also faced with doubts of if I could deliver this talk? I questioned if I even knew what I was speaking about? Again, same Mindset Coaching I taught the day before to a group of ten, now just in a talk format to many more.
