We recently connected with Kim Agemy and have shared our conversation below.
Kim, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
**Redefining Real Estate and Empowering Others**
Helping our clients buy or sell their home is a responsibility we take seriously. A home is often the largest asset and the heart of a family’s life, and we are there every step of the way to guide and advocate for our clients, ensuring they feel supported. Our mission is simple: to help people at the highest level by delivering world-class service and going above and beyond—no matter what it takes. What sets us apart is our expertise in navigating every step of buying, selling, or investing in real estate. With so many moving parts and unexpected challenges, having a knowledgeable guide is essential. We’re here to make the process as stress-free as possible, turning what can be a stressful experience into one of the most exciting chapters of your life. By anticipating challenges and offering solutions, we ensure our clients feel confident and supported from start to finish.
In an industry historically marked by a “for yourself” mindset, we’ve taken a different approach. Collaboration, not competition, is at the core of what we do. This means that we believe in sharing knowledge and helping others, we’ve discovered that true success comes when everyone thrives. We live and work in our community and love to support local businesses and help other entrepreneurs as well as celebrate when we see other real estate agents success.
Through initiatives like *Knowledge Is Power*, we elevate the real estate industry by sharing strategies and insights with agents and industry professionals, helping them grow and succeed. Whether it’s coaching agents, mentoring entrepreneurs, or leading by example, our mission is clear: to empower people to succeed—not just in business, but in life.
We’ve also created *Ditch the Heels*, a thriving community for women entrepreneurs, where collaboration and networking help build businesses and foster personal growth. By mentoring, leading events, and supporting others, we’re proud to make an impact that reaches far beyond the transaction.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building My Social Media Audience: My Journey & Advice
I never thought I’d be doing social media the way I do now. I don’t always love how I look or sound, and watching my early videos still makes me laugh. Some meaningful posts don’t perform well, while the silly ones soar—it’s all part of the journey.
The key? **Be authentic**. Share your wins, losses, and even your personal life. It can’t be all business—people connect with the real you. Understand your audience so your message truly resonates. Don’t try to talk to everyone—if you do, you’ll connect with no one. Many of my strongest connections come from sharing personal moments, not just real estate updates.
Consistency is everything. Set a realistic goal and stick with it. Don’t aim too high and burn out; it’s better to stay consistent over time. Give yourself grace when needed, believe in yourself, and just start. **Done is better than perfect**, and your audience will appreciate your authenticity and effort.
Focus on connecting with the people who align with you, and don’t worry about the others.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn is the misconception that success in real estate comes easily. TV shows make it look glamorous, but the reality is far different. According to the National Association of Realtors, nearly half of agents sold 0 or 1 home last year. Just having a license doesn’t guarantee clients will flock to you.
I had to learn that being an expert isn’t enough—you have to be the best marketer. Success starts with people knowing, liking, and trusting you, which requires consistent effort in building and promoting your business.
Real estate is truly running your own business. You need to understand marketing, financial management, and operations because there are countless expenses involved.
I also learned you can’t chase every opportunity. There are many ways to succeed in real estate, but trying to do it all leads to burnout. Instead, focus on one or two strategies, go all in, and stay committed without getting distracted by the latest “shiny object.”
This mindset shift changed everything for me and has been key to building a sustainable and successful career.
