We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kiesha Pitter a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Kiesha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
Being a Sickle Cell Warrior who doctor told wouldn’t live pass age 20 and due to chronic leg ulcers doctors wanted to amputate but coming from a family of faith and my own faith in God I defied the odds. I got her first job at age 28; discharged from the kidney clinic; Became a newly published author last year July 11, 2024 chronic illness advocate; certified Christian life and faith coach and speaker now transitioning into the office workspace after working from home for more than 3 years. The change isn’t new just different.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Kiesha Pitter, and I am a chronic illness advocate, Certified Christian Life and Faith Coach, speaker, and author dedicated to empowering warriors battling chronic conditions. Living with Sickle Cell Disease has given me firsthand experience of the challenges that come with chronic illness—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. However, it has also fueled my passion to help others walk in faith, hope, and resilience despite their struggles.
How I Got Into This Work
My journey as an advocate and coach began with my own battles. Facing countless hospital visits, pain crises, and moments of deep discouragement, I turned to my faith as my anchor. Over time, I realized that many others in the chronic illness community needed encouragement, spiritual strength, and practical tools to navigate their journey. That realization led me to become a Certified Christian Life and Faith Coach, equipping me to support others in strengthening their faith while managing their health challenges.
My Mission & Work
I am on a mission to help chronic illness warriors cultivate undefeated faith—faith that stands firm even in the face of pain, uncertainty, and limitations. Through my work, I provide:
Books & Resources: My newly released book, A Call to Deeper Prayer: 31 Days Toward Building Undefeated Faith for Persons Struggling with Chronic Illnesses, is a devotional designed to guide readers into a deeper, more intimate prayer life, offering strength for the journey. I also created a Chronic Wellness Journal eBook, which includes medication trackers, pain crisis treatment plans, Bible verses, gratitude prompts, and more—helping warriors manage their health with faith and intentionality.
Faith Talks: I am the host and founder of Faith Talks, a platform where I share encouragement, biblical insights, and testimonies to uplift those facing chronic illness.
Coaching & Speaking Engagements: As a coach and speaker, I provide faith-based support to individuals and groups, helping them navigate their struggles with a mindset of victory and resilience.
What Sets Me Apart
What makes my work unique is that I speak from a place of lived experience—I don’t just share theoretical advice; I share real faith, real struggles, and real victories. My approach combines practical wellness strategies with a deeply rooted spiritual foundation, helping warriors not only manage their health but also flourish in their faith.
What I Am Most Proud Of
One of my greatest accomplishments is seeing how my work impacts lives. Whether it’s a warrior who finds renewed strength in prayer through my book, someone who gains confidence in their health journey using my wellness journal, or a listener who feels encouraged after tuning into Faith Talks, I am honored to be a vessel of hope. Additionally, launching my book during my birthday week was a milestone that solidified my commitment to this mission.
What I Want Others to Know
To every chronic illness warrior reading this: You are not alone. Your struggles are real, but so is God’s grace, power, and purpose over your life. My work exists to remind you that even in pain, you can stand firm in faith, hope, and resilience. If you’re looking for biblical encouragement, practical wellness resources, or a faith-based community of support, I invite you to connect with me on this journey. Let’s build undefeated faith together!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
During a severe Sickle Cell crisis, I felt utterly drained. In my weakest moment, I prayed, Lord, let Your strength be made perfect in my weakness. Peace replaced my fear, reminding me I wasn’t alone. That experience fueled my mission—to empower chronic illness warriors through A Call to Deeper Prayer, my Chronic Wellness Journal, and Faith Talks. Resilience isn’t about never feeling weak but trusting God through it.
