We were lucky to catch up with Kierra Taylor recently and have shared our conversation below.

Kierra, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

I created and copyrighted my vision for spreading mental health awareness and spreading positive energy through my Reiki, powered tea brand and holistic, mobile spa bus. Kie’s Specialty Tea is the only, the only Reiki powered tea brand, and the only seamoss iced tea on walmart.com. It was created to combat the side effects of chemotherapy. Good vibes. Holistic experience is the only holistic mobile spa bus in the United States, and in Texas. The GVHE Spa bus Specializes in providing case management services, employee wellness services, and unique holistic services to individuals right to their front door.

Kierra, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

I wonderful example of when I had to pivot in my career was when I first created the GVHE holistic, mobile Spa bus it was not on a bus I was just providing holistic services from door-to-door then we experienced Covid, and I did not have much help continuing on my services from door-to-door, including carrying equipment, etc. I created an idea to be able to provide the services on my bus so that I have a mobile way to carry my services and I had the option to provide the services in my safe space instead of entering in someone else’s home. I was unaware that I am the only one who established and proceeded with that idea. The only similar buses are located in Florida or Atlanta and they are based on beauty services, not holistic healing , this made me very sure, and what I am doing, as it is distinctive, original, exclusive and most importantly copyrighted !

Do you have any stories of times when you almost missed payroll or any other near death experiences for your business?

I have a story to share that will show an example of resilience and persistence. I had appointments located in Arlington and in Houston in one week I am my only employee at the time, and I finished the appointment in Houston to drive and make it to the appointment in Arlington on the way on this 3 1/2 hour drive, the mobile bus caught on fire due to the bumper getting in the way of the exhaust pipe. I had to pull over wait to get the fire out and also experience a blowout and tires unfortunately, after spending all that money to get the repairs done on side of the road I was now late for my appointment in Arlington , by the time I made it there, the appointment had to be canceled and the money was not made after nearly catching on fire on side of the road. I did not profit from that event. It changed how I will do business moving forward.
