Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kiera Gregory . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Kiera , thanks for joining us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
For a while, I found social media to be daunting. And, to be honest, I still do. The posting is never ending.
The algorithm constantly shifts.
I feel like I am almost always behind the times, for whatever the latest trend is.
BUT, I cannot bring myself to hire a social media manager team…
Maybe it’s the need to feel like I’m fully in control of my business. Or perhaps, it’s the fear of FOMO, when it comes to interacting with all my incredible clients, and friends.
Ultimately, I have found that being present on social media, while incorporating small elements of my personal life, has led to my clients feeling more of a connection to me, before we actually meet.
I absolutely LOVE this element.
I want so much more than a quick, snap your photos, see you never, relationship. I want to build lasting connections with my clients. I want them to feel like they know the real me, and like we can actually form a friendship.
In order to build that special bond with my clients, I feel like being present, open, and more interactive on social media is the key for me, personally.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Just over a year ago, I decided to finally put my fears in the past, and opened my photography business. To be honest, I had VERY little hope that it would ever really amount to anything, besides a weekend hobby.
After being told for so long that “photography isn’t a real job”, I was positive that I was most likely going into a business that would be much more about fulfilling a passion, rather than paying the bills.
Fast forward just over a year, and I have an incredibly blessed, highly successful photography business, that boomed before I had a chance to process what was happening.
Now, I have become a well known warm and moody travel photographer, based in New Mexico, specializing in couples, weddings and maternity.
In the past year, I have had the privilege of being published numerous times, by various magazines, won multiple covers, placed second in the Wedding Collective Cover Contest, and have been featured by various well known celebrities & businesses, including Randy Fenoli and Allure Bridal. I’ve been able to travel to numerous states, for various weddings, and plan on beginning destination weddings soon.
If you’re in need of a warm and moody photographer, who loves to emphasize intimacy, and passion, Endless Autumn Photography may be just for you!

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
For so long, I was told creative jobs weren’t real ‘jobs’, but instead hobbies. I went to school, got my degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice, and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
However, living overseas prevented me from being able to use my degree in the workforce, and I had to look elsewhere.
When I decided to go against the grain and start my business, I came into it with the mindset of being a ‘side hustle’, for some extra cash on the side. Several months later, my business started booming, and I came to the realization that if I kept pushing myself, maybe I could make this into a full-time thing.
With a lot of determination, stride, and continuous marketing, my husband was able to quit his job, and I transitioned into the provider for our family of 5.
Now my goal, besides documenting the most important moments in someone’s life, is to also encourage others to push themselves and pursue those “hobbies” as something bigger. Never limit yourself, your talent, or your passion. Keep pushing. It’s possible.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
My biggest advice for growing your social media, includes: -consistent posting
-being authentic to you
-posting occasional personal news or information, so your audience can get to know you, your personality, and how you want to represent your brand
-offering Giveaways when you are first starting out, to draw more people to your accounts/ pages and so forth
Now, this doesn’t mean you have to post every single day, offer up a ton of free stuff, or stress yourself out over social media. Follow a pattern that works best for you, but I guarantee following these steps will help bring your intended audience to your page, help get the word out about your business, and show your audience why they should hire you or support your business.
