Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kiera Clark. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Kiera thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
Honestly – I’m still learning to do what I do. Every day is a new adventure and lesson for me as an independent stylist. I try new concepts and if it works, great! If it doesn’t , great – at least I know I’ve accomplished something I’ve always wanted to do.. 1 of the most essential skills I have is being able to create from scraps.. being able to visualize out of nothing – no matter how little I have..I adore that about myself.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Kiera Clark also known as KungFU Kee and I am recognized as a Style Aficionado . I help my clients welcome character to any aesthetic. You bring me an idea and I will make it come to fruition while incorporating your individuality. When I created my brand, I just wanted to bring more functionality to “Black Style”. While using style + design to reinvent a better visualization for people of color. I started my styling career in 2012 while in college, where I spearheaded an entire style department – so i’ve always been an innovator. And even though my career began a decade ago , I’m just now spreading my wings, fully.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
The best advice I could give is no advice , honestly. You don’t need me telling you how to operate in your own right. Strive to be the best in whatever venture you embark and an overall good person to others – whatever that means to you.
